I don't think going to Eton makes you a git. Privilege certainly can lead to arrogance and detachment from consequences, but Mr Johnson is outside the normal range of bad.

What shocks me is not that he's willing to do anything for power- that has been known for years, there will always be these people. What shocks me is that the Tories are letting him. I may think very ill of their policies but I don't believe the party have ever been so willing to sell democracy down the river before.

Sociopathic tendencies are not particularly unusual in senior management types, particularly at the top of ultra-competitive fields such as law, politics, finance etc.
