To ask for recommendation of caravan park with brilliant indoor pool?

I wonder if anyone could please recommend a good caravan park with great indoor facilities, ideally on a beach?! Not center parcs etc as too expensive. Butlins Bognor is perfect but no availability for Nov. Any ideas? Thanks v much!

Haven Craig Tara had their pool redone and have a great farm park with indoor areas next door, but I don't know if they are open in November.
Good luck, I hope you find somewhere!

Freshwater beach near bridport

Windydaysuponus · 25/09/2019 11:15

Haven Craig Tara again!!
Farm a great day out!
Crazy golf in Ayre also good.

I agree with the pp Haven Craig Tara is the crown jewel of family parks in Scotland. Haven are pumping money into it it's becoming one of the best in the UK we spend pretty much all summer and every holiday break there. I see your looking for November though, the parks last dates in November are the first weekend where they also have a fantastic fire works display. It's a fantastic holiday park, the beach unfortunately is needing a good sweep with a tractor. It's not the best, in fact it can actually look quite dirty but with so much on the park you really wouldn't need to go to it, or you could drive a few miles along the coast and you would get Ayr beach which is a nice beach, but November on a Scottish beach your not going to be paddling Grin

Hafan y mor - Haven

Crazyoldmaurice · 25/09/2019 11:26

Bunn leisure in selsey (near bognor) is nice. It's on a beach and theres a pool, new soft play and play parks etc. Earnleigh butterfly farm nearby is a nice afternoon out too. We go every year for a cheap break.

HappyMondayKidz · 25/09/2019 12:22

Waterside Holiday Park & Spa, Weymouth! Loads for kids and adults to do there, we go every year! Grin

Wetweatherwellieshooray · 25/09/2019 12:46

Thanks v much for all the suggestions. Scotland is a bit far really (10 hr drive for 3 nights!) But will check out all the others! Thanks again.

I so want to go to craig tara!

Theres a waterpark in wales too isnt there? Blue something?

We've liked weymouth bay as a haven with a rapids but we'd like to go somewhere with more of a waterpark as part of it.

NumberblockNo1 · 25/09/2019 12:50

It depends a bit on age too doesnt it? Freshwater is really only for littlies isnt it? (But we used to love visiting with preschoolers when they let you visit on school days!)

Haven Hopton

Ozziewozzie · 25/09/2019 12:52

Woolacombe, North Devon. Incredibly affordable and really clean with superb staff service.
Loads to do. Plus, by staying at one, you can use all 4 parks facilities for free. All 4 parks close together. The Actual Woolacombe bay park is right close to the beach which is massive and really clear sea.
They also have surf machines, surf school, buses to the beach, climbing walls.
I’ll admit, I’m a fussy bugger, but never let down once here. I love the place.

Haven at hafan y mor has an amazing pool, and the one at Thorpe Park in Cleethorpes has 2 fantastic slides, but check that they are running off peak season

Papergirl1968 · 25/09/2019 12:54

Bluestone is the one in Wales. Lovely pool but no caravans, just lodges and cottages, I think. Expensive in school holidays, not sure off peak

cheif · 25/09/2019 12:56

Another vote for Woolacombe bay.

Plus if you stay there and book another holiday within 28 days you can get 40% discount off next holiday.

Love a bit of Billy and Betty beachball!

PointlessUsername · 25/09/2019 13:05

pevensey bay , Eastbourne.

Has an indoor pool & direct beach access
Very clean park

wineymummy · 25/09/2019 13:07

Ruda in Croyde - the pool is great! Lazy river, jacuzzi, toddler pool and a really fast water slide.

tiggerbounce77 · 25/09/2019 13:08

Haven seashore have had a new pool this year.

LoisEinhorn · 25/09/2019 14:02

I agree with Rude at Croyde. We love it there.

Cao77 · 25/09/2019 14:06

Devon Cliffs Haven in Exmouth, right on the beach with plenty to do on site 😉

Stressedmummyof4 · 25/09/2019 14:15

@NumberblockNo1 you really should give Craig Tara a try, obviously as we don't get great weather all the time in Scotland they have made sure that there's plenty to keep you busy indoors.

In the height of season, they run a full on wrestling afternoon in the big function lounge. Complete with wrestlers, full size ring everything the kids love it especially whilst waving their foam fingers and booing at the baddy Grin.

The swimming pool has two flumes, water rapids, racing slides with timers, various other slides. Baby/toddler pool. And loads of pool like activities water balls kayaking aqua jets the list goes on.

If you manage to get good weather kids and adults over 12 can hire segways. There's also family size go karts (avoid the hills Grin). Regular sight seeing dad push a cart with wife and numerous kids up a hill lol.

New indoor area with climbing walls, Ariel adventure course. There's indoor and outdoor mini golf. Football courts inflatable obstacle course I have forgot more than half of it tbh.

We love it, the kids love it which is the main thing. As with all these parks there's the usual amusement arcade which drives me round the bend but I suppose you take the good with the bad lol.

I would say though for a first time, don't go any less that 5 days you'll need it to try most things and if possible use the app to prebook your activities they book fast!

stucknoue · 25/09/2019 14:20

We went to the haven on the llyn peninsular, rainy the whole time and plenty of indoor space.
