Do stylish, warm, showerproof coats exist?

I love my wool coat and I’ve just ordered myself a protected species waterproof Mac.

I think I also need something warmer that’s showerproof. Lots of padded, quilted coats look like they add on the pounds! I quite like the look of this but not sure how warm it will be: www.joules.com/Women/Jackets-Coats/True-Black/Chatham/Longline-Padded-Jacket-With-Removable-Hood?id=204241%7CBLACK

Any suggestions? Must be a coat with a decent length. Shouldn’t look too frumpy. I don’t like wearing jackets. Thanks!

I think in order to be showerproof (does this mean very heavy rain?) it has to be waxed, but I'd like to hear what others have to say.

I bought a Barbour waxed jacket last year that was pretty warm and does very well in the rain, but it's not really a replacement for a wool, dressy coat.

I got a lovely one from go outdoors. Nice colour, hooded and warm and waterproof

I just wear a sweater or layers under my Protected Species in the colder weather. 100% downpour proof.
