Boris Johnson should resign

Cinammoncake · 24/09/2019 11:18

He's lied to the Queen and shut down parliament illegally. He's not fit to be PM and should resign now.

OP posts:
KidLorneRoll · 25/09/2019 21:08

'You can say what you like about Boris'

He's a stupid fucking cunt who is not fit to tie the shoelaces of any person in this country, let alone be in charge of it, and anyone who can't see that should not be allowed to vote.

Thanks for your permission.

KidLorneRoll · 25/09/2019 21:09

"Boris is going up against the bloody ""Establishment"" "

He and trump ARE the fucking establishment.

LayLar360 · 25/09/2019 21:14

Boris is fighting for:

(a) his career/ego,
(b) certain media moguls, and
(c) certain rich Torries with offshore holdings that will become subject to EU regulations unless we leave with No Deal this year.

I didn't care much for Theresa May, but at least she genuinely tried to deliver the referendum result, as closely in-line with the Leave Campaign's promises as possible. But of course, Boris and pals took her down for personal gain.

MustardScreams · 25/09/2019 21:28

@contentedsoul fucking hell, get some critical thinking into gear. Bozo IS the establishment.

I honestly despair.

missfliss · 25/09/2019 21:28

ha... laughing at all the excellent replies to contented's 'say what you like about Boris' post.

Brills.

Also heavily lolling at being accused of naievety by someone claiming Boris is anti-establishment. He is the flipping establishment personified!

ilovesooty · 25/09/2019 21:31

As Yvette Cooper said tonight in Parliament whatever differences she had with May and Cameron, neither would have done what Johnson has done.

Laterthanyouthink · 25/09/2019 21:31

Wait.. you mean to say the PM doesn't have to abide by our MN poll??!!!

No, it's advisory...

Iggly · 25/09/2019 21:34

Can anyone, someone please tell me who this mythical “establishment” is?

I mean a Leaver or Brexiteer. I want to know who they are and why they think Boris isn’t part of it.

MustardScreams · 25/09/2019 21:36

@Laterthanyouthink amazing!

Iggly · 25/09/2019 21:41

The more I think about it the more I think the democratic thing to have done = have another referendum to set the terms of Brexit

Boris’ calls for a GE are just a way to try and keep the Tories in (surprise) - much in the same way Theresa tried to.

Dominic Cummings will be ramping up the Facebook adverts soon to try and capture the swing voters and get them to vote Tory. However a GE is a bit different to a referendum.

Anyone with any sense must see that the relationship with the EU is complicated and will take a lot of undoing.

The Tories have wasted the last three Years on this.

LloydBraun · 25/09/2019 21:47

If the opposition think Boris is so unfit and they would be better, he’s offered them the solution - an election.
There is no point parliament meeting to pontificate and disappear up its own arse. Dissolve, GE, let’s get a majority for a way forward if we can.

LayLar360 · 25/09/2019 21:49

@LloydBraun

Surely you know full well why the opposition parties are waiting until after Oct 31st to do that?

LoueyLou · 25/09/2019 21:49

He and his team seem desperate to leave with No Deal, absolutely desperate, they gambled on shutting down parliament unlawfully, more or less pleading for a GE in Parliament. Why aren’t people or the media asking Why?
I can’t understand how this isn’t arousing much more suspicion.
But to answer the question, no he isn’t fit to run a raffle let alone the country.

MustardScreams · 25/09/2019 21:50

@Iggly I 100% agree with you. Unfortunately leavers can’t even understand that a second ref to decide the mechanics of leaving is actually democratic, they start blathering on about wanting a second go at the World Cup because they didn’t like the outcome Hmm

I don’t like perpetuating the stereotype that leavers are dense, but they are just so utterly one-minded, and unable to see WHY this is tearing the country apart. PP on this thread prove that point. I don’t know what it would take to get it into their skulls.

Perhaps if their lord and saviour Joris Bonson backed it?

LloydBraun · 25/09/2019 21:52

Yes, because they are playing for their own political advantage. the public are watching. I have a feeling that for every battle silly little Jeremy thinks he’s won, he’s losing a bit more of the war.
An election will tell us. We should have one now.

PhilSwagielka · 25/09/2019 21:55

He's a useless woman-hating piece of shit who only cares about his own ego. But people will keep supporting him in because he's funny and they're scared of Corbyn.

There's going to be more Jo Coxes. And if you think Johnson isn't establishment, get your fucking head checked. He's the PRIME MINISTER for crying out loud.

MustardScreams · 25/09/2019 21:57

@LloydBraun don’t be one of those that doesn’t understand why no one apart from the Tories want a GE now.

No deal would be horrific. It’s so bad BJ won’t publush the documentation regarding it, instead sending over a redacted, tiny PDF that TM had written months ago.

There has to be 100% certainty that the GE won’t be held after we’ve crashed out. Hence the holding off.

LloydBraun · 25/09/2019 21:58

“People will keep supporting him because he’s funny and they’re scared of Corbyn” I agree with the last bit. I’m not sure where you get funny from but he definitely benefits from comparison with the grotesque little gnome who leads the opposition. But then who doesn’t.

LloydBraun · 25/09/2019 22:00

I understand perfectly well why Corbyn doesn’t want an election now. He thinks he’ll lose. If you believe the national interest forms even a fraction of his motivation - well, it must be nice to have reached adulthood with so many illusions intact is all I can say. Sweet.

MustardScreams · 25/09/2019 22:03

@LloydBraun perhaps you should stop reading redtop headlines about Corbyn and actually back your (frankly ludicrous) statements up with actual sources. The Express doesn’t count.

Iggly · 25/09/2019 22:04

Don’t be so dense @LloydBraun

It’s incredibly irresponsible at best to have an election weeks before we are leaving the EU and in the middle of negotiations.

What a stupid idea.

Iggly · 25/09/2019 22:05

Theresa May tried to get a majority - she already had a decent one - when she was flying the Brexit flag.

Look how that turned out.

LloydBraun · 25/09/2019 22:06

I’m quite capable of working out what Corbyn is about without their assistance, thanks. He’s advertised his character defects vigorously enough over the years.
But your determination to believe the best of even an obvious shitbag does you credit, I suppose. Just don’t sit on any juries anytime soon, eh?

LayLar360 · 25/09/2019 22:07

@LloydBraun

Are you being deliberately thick?

If they call an election now, Parliament will be dissolved until after the Oct 31 deadline, thus removing any checks or balances on Boris and making it easier for him to (illegally) force through a No Deal Brexit.

I do suspect the Conservatives will be the largest party after any election, whenever it may be held, but dissolving parliament now would be the stupidest thing opponents of a No Deal Brexit could possibly do.

MustardScreams · 25/09/2019 22:08

@LloydBraun instead of immaturely insulting me, can you provide sources to back up your claims?
