AIBU to even think that I could actually BE pregnant and the test was right after all?

I am undergoing fertility treatment, not due to take my test until Friday (had to wait 2 weeks and 2 days). However I have felt so helpless that I caved and bought 2 tests.

Pink dye test from B&M - cheap at 2 for £1, then one clear blue.

I got a very very faint line on my clear blue but a negative on my pink one.

I am in a group on Facebook for people undergoing IU and IVF and the majority said that Clear blue tests are notorious for false positives and a web search does confirm this.

One minute I feel heartbroken, then the next I think "I could be!"

I am too scared to test again until Friday as I am happier not knowing for sure, than getting another negative :(

Anyone have experience of mixed results on certain pregnancy tests?

I am currently pregnant after first try IVF. I also tested early - my clinic said I could test 14 days after collection (from recollection) and I got my days wrong and thought I couldn't test until Tuesday when actually it was Monday. I tested on the Sunday. Got a really faint line - I'd say a touch more than yours , and spent the night googling how long the trigger takes to leave the system and the impact of pessaries before messaging my clinic. Googling told me trigger stays in system for 10 days so it should have gone and my clinic got back to me and said that my test day was actually Monday and that if I got a positive it was probably a congratulations but to test again. I did but with a clear blue digital and it was also positive. I then tested a couple more times over the ensuing days and each day it came up quicker and stronger. I dont want to get your hopes up but to me that looks similar to the level of strength of my positive x

Thank you everyone, that is so sweet and I will of course keep you updated. I have to call my fertility clinic on friday to confirm a positive result then I believed they bring me in for bloods to confirm.

Then an early scan 3 weeks later to make sure everything is where it should be, and see how many are in there! I am still in disbelief. It isn't real!
