Hi. Has anyone ever used botox for flushing? What are your experiences with it and did you think it worked to reduce your redness? AIBU to want to try it as I suffer from excessive flushing which has ruined my confidence

Hi Girl, I am not sure it's Botox you need as that freezes the muscles, not sure that will stop the flushing. I suffer from rosacea which left me with permanently flushed cheeks. I had a few sessions of IPL laser treatment which has helped enormously. It was painful, like being flicked with elastic bands but has all but cured the redness. Also Solantra cream from the doctors is good. It kills the skin mites that cause the flushing. Good luck.

Hi, I've tried IPL a few years ago which didn't help. I don't have permanently red skin, I just flush/blush very easily all over. I was told I had rosacea and I've gone through treatment to get rid of the papules etc where the results have been absolutely amazing! I'm anxious/depressed about the redness as nothing stops it and Im fed up of putting make up on all the time

Have you tried the Solantra? It's very good but not widely prescribed because most GPs don't have the expertise of a dermatologist? Also, you would be surprised how many people don't notice your flushing. I was very self conscious, yet no one I spoke to had noticed a problem.
