To think that Liam and Noel actually get on and they just say they don't for the money

Just that really. Bet it makes them a fortune every time one of them slags off the other and the newspapers are all over it.

Ha. Never thought about it before, but I think you're on to something.

You should expose them and sell it to the papers.

Butchyrestingface · 22/09/2019 12:05

I would defy anyone to “get on” with Liam.

And you’d need to be beyond money grubbing to involve slagging off the kids in any fake hate-hate relationship in the press.

MuchBetterNow · 22/09/2019 12:05

No they actively hate each other. I think they always did but Oasis was such a cash cow they got on with it as far as they could. They would make pots more money from an Oasis reunion than arsey spats in the papers. Having had the misfortune of seeing High Flying Birds live with a bewildered crowd waiting for Don't Look Back in Anger I know that there is definitely an audience for vintage Oasis.

MollyButton · 22/09/2019 12:09

Nope they really hate each other.
They also seem pretty unpleasant in their own ways. I wonder what the rest of the family is like?

Bookworm4 · 22/09/2019 12:11

Having had the misfortune of seeing High Flying Birds live 🤣🤣🤣
Never liked them but have 2 DC who are eagerly awaiting Liam’s solo tour; very pricey tickets bought 🙄🙄

Slappadabass · 22/09/2019 12:11

Possibly, either way they definitely play it up and cash in on it.

Actionhasmagic · 22/09/2019 12:12

My DH works in the music industry and can tell you the hate is real

MsVestibule · 22/09/2019 12:20

Yeah, what's wrong with the simmering resentment that goes on for decades like in most normal families 😀. That's what my sister and I have, no drama necessary.

Matt74 · 22/09/2019 12:25

I think the only thing they have in common now is their love of Man City.

PhilSwagielka · 22/09/2019 14:16

Nah, I reckon it's totally real. They've passed it on to their kids. I'm more of a Space woman anyway.

LemonYumYums · 22/09/2019 14:20

MsVestibuke that’s really made me laugh.

LemonYumYums · 22/09/2019 14:20

Oops vestibule I mean, what a fool I am.

The80sweregreat · 22/09/2019 14:23

I don't think it's fake at all, but I take your point that it could be.
However, I bet they team up again for a reunion in a few years time when the money starts getting a bit 'short! '
By then all the people that were young in the 1990s will be ready for music nostalgia remembering the good old days etc.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 22/09/2019 14:25

You only need listen to a Liam lyric, see Noel smile as he bats off yet another question about it to know it is real

iklboo · 22/09/2019 14:31

It's definitely real. We reckon Mum Gallagher made Noel let Liam join the band (or else he couldn't go & play) and he's resented him ever since Grin

margaritaproblems · 22/09/2019 17:56

@MollyButton I agree, and I've wondered that too

I wonder what the rest of the family is like?

Well Liam was on radio 2 with Zoe ball the other day and said his 'normal' brother dj's for him at his gigs and he gets on well with him 🤣

Noel sounds like an up his own arse prick.

Liam comes across better in interviews.

But all in all, I think they're both a pair of utter knobs.
