Tagged along to a drinks event with a friend yesterday and met a friend of hers who has recently moved to my area. We started chatting so at the end I invited them to a small get together I’m having at my house in a few weeks - too much?!

I think it's nice, especially if shes just moved to the area and doesn't know many people.

In principle no, not odd - seems like a nice thing to do. Just how small is the gathering?

No, a girl, and gathering about ten people

Lovely! Someone I barely know invited us camping once!! We went and had a blast!! We dont really see them anymore, but it was a fun brief encounter!!
