Hooded rompers for toddlers

I’ve seen some really cool looking hooded rompers (like a puddle suit made from jersey) DD is 15 months so I’m not entirely sure how useful they would actually be and whilst happy to pay out for one, don’t want to spend money on something she would never wear. Are they a good investment? Or is it more likely to sit in her wardrobe not being worn?

DD is a little older (2yo) but she uses hers a fair bit. When we go swimming I put her costume on before we leave with the romper over the top then when we come out she goes back in the romper for the trip home. She goes to a messy play session once a week so I put her in a vest and shorts with the romper over the top then when we get there she goes the session in the vest and shorts, they go in a bag afterwards for the wash and she comes home in the romper. Also great for when we're having a quiet day at home, nice and comfortable for playing in the garden or lounging on the floor toys.

Her big sister has a hooded onesie that she practically lives in when she's hanging around the house so littlest DD is thrilled to bits that she gets to be "twinners" with biggest DD.

We use ours a fair bit. If we’re out and it’s getting close to bedtime we do PJs with he romper over and then when we get in it’s just whip the romper off and straight in bed. It’s a good idea for swimming too. Will try that next week.

Where did you see them op? I’ve been looking for something like this in replacement of dressing gowns for when dd and I are having lazy mornings.

I've been looking at buying from an independent company, they've got some really nice fabrics, just need to take the leap!

Thanks for the feedback, will continue to mull it over, or maybe add it to her Christmas list!

I got some from Aldi for DS, great for after swimming lessons and for going to the playground (his top would always ride up climbing and he wasn't wearing popper vests by then as he was potty trained)

He wasn't 15 months he was about 2.5
