I don’t think satire works these days, the events of real life are too outrageous. We are post-satire.

I was allowed to stay up and watch even though it was highly inappropriate for my age !

Have you ever seen Newzoids? That was v similar and v good.

PhilCornwall1 · 21/09/2019 07:39

I was talking to a friend about this the other day and we both agreed it would never be allowed on TV these days, due to all the PC snowflakes.

Friend did say though that all the kids knew who the politicians were back then because of it.

emilybrontescorsett · 21/09/2019 07:42

Yep it was fab.
I remember reading that they couldn’t do it now because news travels do much faster now.
It took time to write the scripts, make the puppets etc etc. Nowadays everyone is aware of what’s happening within hours.

Strugglingtodomybest · 21/09/2019 07:59

I'd love to see it back, it was so funny, and yes, taught me who the politicians of the time were.

Alicewond · 01/10/2019 06:03

Just read it’s coming back, I swear this is coincidence
