There is a lot of buzz in the press after Princess Charlotte apparently announced something in her school !
We know you are on mumsnet Kate. Come on, tell us!

She's got an engagement next week so unlikely to show up if she is, unless she's got pregnant between the yacht engagement in early August and now and is managing her HG better than previously.

Northernlurker · 19/09/2019 21:52

I may have overthought this.....

TheRobinIsBobbingAlong · 19/09/2019 21:54

I doubt it. She's suffered very badly with HG in all her other pregnancies and she's actively doing engagements at the moment and doesn't look pregnant. I can't imagine them telling the children to early if she was because kids are notorious for not being able to keep secrets.

EndoftheWorlds · 19/09/2019 21:56

It would be another nail in the coffin of the monarchy. Totally out of kilter with the mood of the nation.

scaryteacher · 19/09/2019 21:56

I wondered if she was at Ascot, but looking at the tight culottes she was wearing today, and how thin she looked side on, I wouldn't think she is.

SplintersOnTheFence · 19/09/2019 21:57

No one elses business but hers.

It was based on a gossip columnist who announced the duchess "changes" her hair before every pregnanyHmm

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 19/09/2019 21:58

How about we stop speculating about the contents of her uterus? If there’s something worth reporting I dare say she’ll announce it when she’s good and ready.

Streamside · 19/09/2019 21:58

I can't imagine so but wouldn't the public love it.She's looking remarkably thin today.

SirChing · 19/09/2019 21:59

I'm just waiting for someone to come on and take issue with you calling her Kate Middleton instead of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge!

As if it matters and we may get confused otherwise.

I don't know if she is pregnant, but she always looks lovely and glowy when she is.

DontDribbleOnTheCarpet · 19/09/2019 22:06

My children used to constantly announce non-existent pregnancies. Their teacher only twigged that they were making stories up when one announced the imminent birth of my calf!
I'm not a royalist at all, but I do think it must be hard to be under such close scrutiny for such personal matters.

Yabbers · 19/09/2019 22:08

I have no idea what Charlotte said but my DD announced to her nursery that mummy has a baby in her tummy. I did not.

NoSquirrels · 19/09/2019 22:16

Oh my word. Can't you imagine the subtle pressures on all the parents at the school gate to "accidentally" let slip something juicy to a journalist.

Very unlikely, I would say. Couldn't care less either way, but I think basing any story on a) a 4-5 year old's statements in reception class or b) anything at all gleaned at the school gates is pointless gossip.

My DC told some outrageous lies in reception with a totally straight face!

Bluntness100 · 19/09/2019 22:17

I'd be surprised. She said they were stopping at three.

Glitteryglitter · 19/09/2019 22:18

Dd has also announced my non existant pregnancy at nursery

31RueCambon75001 · 19/09/2019 22:18

I doubt it. She's always hospitalised when she's early in a pregnancy. She's out and about.

ALemonyPea · 19/09/2019 22:20

I doubt it. A lot of children tell their friends/teachers that their mum is pregnant when they're not. My DS3 very convincingly told his nursery I was having a baby girl, right down to the name. It happens. I'd not read much into it.

Troels · 19/09/2019 22:20

Little kids say this stuff all the time.
Friends Ds told the teacher his Mum had died over the weekend. Teacher hadn't seen her do drop off so was frantic trying to find out what happened. Then he announced her pregnancy which same teacher took with a pinch of salt. (that was true)

Tia3251 · 19/09/2019 22:20

Lol! My daughter keeps telling everyone I’m pregnant and people in school believe her as I’ve put on a few lb’s. Kids eh.

loutypips · 19/09/2019 22:20

My dd told one of her friends that I was in prison! Then got a message from one of the school mums asking if everything was okay at home. Blush

Things that kids say should be taken with a pinch of salt!

I thought she was looking as slim as ever, and really if she is pregnant then what does it matter?

Tia3251 · 19/09/2019 22:21

But Kate doesn’t look pregnant at all. HG is not same in all pregnancies but more likely you will have if had before

FrauHaribo · 19/09/2019 22:22

There has always been "rumours" of Kate , and Meghan actually, being pregnant. That's never going to stop.

Then it started to follow Eugenie!

I hope they don't read all that crap about themselves, it must get really old to read you have an "obvious pregnant belly"! when you are nowhere near pregnant - and have absolutely no belly either.

Tia3251 · 19/09/2019 22:24

Omg loutypips that’s must have been awkward!

FurrySlipperBoots · 19/09/2019 22:31

I don't know. You could wait 9 months and see if she's had a baby by then, that might answer your question?

caringcarer · 19/09/2019 22:33

She seems to enjoy her kids so having another would be nice as she is not under financial constraint.

BertrandRussell · 19/09/2019 22:34

I will wait for the cries of hypocrisy if she is. I suspect I will wait a long time.

But she can’r possibly be. Her waist is practically non existent.
