When a person calls working for a well known MLM “their business”??!!

For example;

Question:“Oh what do you do for a living?”

Answer: “ I run my own business”

Then on Facebook page I realize the sell for an MLM!

Someone enlighten me... is it THEIR business or not?? Aibu to think it’s not??

I think it’s annoying because anyone can do it. It’s easy to start and requires no skills. So lets say they were to properly start their own business from scratch then that would probably require a lot of money and years of hard work etc. This selling MLM stuff is ridiculous everyone is doing it

YANBU. They've been brainwashed and are about to send you messages containing too many exclamation marks and the word "hun".

And it’s a great business because you can make so much money but only do about 3hrs work a day for it, while dc are asleep

To be fair I guess a Franchisee (McDonald’s, Costa, water babies etc) would also say they had their own business and most of us would accept that.

The issue is MLM isn’t a business at all, theirs or otherwise 😭
