Shared a picture on social media earlier of a young teenage me and some friends being a bit childish and daft.

DP has said it made him feel like he was going out with a teenager and was embarrassed.

I'm a bit Confused at this because I'm quite clearly a teenager in the picture, I was a teenager once and it's just a bit of a laugh at me and my friends when we were younger.

Confused how weird. If you’d shared a picture of you as a baby would he have felt like he was going out with a baby?
What an odd thing to say.

Changemynamexchangemyname · 16/09/2019 20:16

That’s really really weird.

Whatsername7 · 16/09/2019 20:19

Weird. Is it unflattering? Is he being a dick?

Mummadeeze · 16/09/2019 20:20

Also think he is being weird.

Sparklesocks · 16/09/2019 20:22

That’s not a normal reaction!!

amusedbush · 16/09/2019 20:22

That’s really weird Confused surely he knows you were a teenager at some point??

Drogosnextwife · 16/09/2019 20:29

What?! Did you ask him what that even ment and why he would feel something so ridiculous?

Densol999 · 16/09/2019 20:30

Wow !
Is it a full moon tonight as the crazies are out in full force !

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 16/09/2019 20:30

He sounds a bit dim.

Densol999 · 16/09/2019 20:30

As in your partner not you OP Grin

Bodear · 16/09/2019 20:31

What were you doing in the picture? Not that is matters. He is an arse.

Benefitofthedoubt · 16/09/2019 20:33

Did he mean you putting an embarrassing (to him) picture on the internet was the sort of thing a teenager would do?

(Actually they rarely would these days. All too cool.)

Who has seen it that he cares about what they think? There’s someone he wished hadn’t seen it...

ErmNoPlease · 16/09/2019 21:20

No the picture is of me (and friends) not of DP so it's not an embarrassing pic of him.

It's just me and a group of friends being daft. Think like sharing a bottle of Sainsbury's own cider and a pal mal cigarette out of best friends bedroom window.

It's embarrassingly funny and we all look so young so shared it. My friends thought it was hilarious.

Yes it's what a teenager would do but I AM a teenager in the picture, that's why I found it funny.

OP posts:
Bluntness100 · 16/09/2019 21:22

That's very odd.

Is he quite straight laced? How was his teenage years? Could he be envious?

hiphopchick · 16/09/2019 22:56

@ErmNoPlease

Your DP sounds like a prize arse who is going to judge you, throw shade on you, and show disdain at everything you do, that he deems is 'not proper' for a laydee.

Met this kind of wanker before. Wink

FetchezLaVache · 16/09/2019 23:00

How long have you been with him? Is he often a bit strangely judgmental of you?

Awaywiththefairies27 · 16/09/2019 23:04

Just throwing out another perspective but could it be that your DP has found himself attracted to said photo of teenage you and now feels like a dirty old perv hence his embarrassment?

That's the only logical explanation I can think of for him being embarrassed at an old photo of you.

dollydaydream114 · 16/09/2019 23:04

Bloody hell, he sounds like hard work. What on earth is his problem? Everyone has a laugh over old pics, surely? Confused

Ohyesiam · 16/09/2019 23:06

Op, have you been pretending to him that you skipped adolescences and now he’s found out the truth?
