Dog poo

So, I live in a mid terrace house. I have an old fashioned long narrow garden at the back. It has a tall gate, about six foot and an alley runs behind the back of it.

I've just been out to hang up some washing and I'm pretty convinced someone has chucked a carrier bag with poo in it into the garden. We don't have any lights out there so I can't see it very clearly. It's not by the gate however, it's near our back door. It looks like someone has lobbed it over from next door. But AFAIK, they don't have a dog

AIBU to keep a record of this somewhere? It feels silly to call the police but I don't really want dog poo being slung over the wall all the time. Am I overreacting? Probably. It's just weird.

Call the police Hmm Yes it would be ridiculous to do that!

sproutsandparsnips · 15/09/2019 23:05

Missing the point I'm sure but why are you hanging out washing at this hour?
Although, yes, that is vile and disgusting behaviour.

Templetonstunafish · 15/09/2019 23:13

A whole carrier bag full? Must be a very big dog. Are you sure not bear or similar?

I'm pretty sure that lunacy is going to get more comments than the possible dog poo.

Please tell me you live in the Americas OP?

yes, that is vile and disgusting behaviour.

Of course it is, the washing will get Darked on.

starryeyed19 · 15/09/2019 23:20

I knew the washing being darked on would be the AIBU here!

I needed to wash something to wear for tomorrow, a specific thing.

It's not a carrier bag FILLED with poo but a carrier bag with quite a bit of poo in it

It's more that someone has thrown a bag of poo into my garden deliberately than anything else. Probably one of my neighbours.

Do they think it is yours?
We once had this and some neighbors were convinced this dog poo was our dog's, it wasn't.

starryeyed19 · 15/09/2019 23:29

No, we don't have a dog. We've lived here for 16 odd years

Maybe a fox dragged it out of a rubbish bag and left it there when it realised it wasn't food? We get all sorts of random stuff in our garden that foxes bring in.

starryeyed19 · 16/09/2019 07:10

Wouldn't there be lots of other rubbish out too?

The nearest neighbours who have a dog are both two doors down either side

I second the fox explanation. We get random toys left in our garden, they belong to kids several doors down (you think the parents would clear up!)
