I've got some really nice Montane ones.

TinyMystery · 15/09/2019 18:29

Craghoppers are perfectly adequate. Those Açai ones look like they would take an age to dry.

WindsweptEgret · 15/09/2019 18:33

What is your AIBU?

Also this Are you actually planning to go walking somewhere you need walking trousers? Because in that case you do not need to look sexy. At all. You need to be warm and dry.

TinyMystery · 15/09/2019 18:34

Having been on the website, if they are as good as they say, the Açai ones do actually sound amazing, if a bit pricey.

nononever · 15/09/2019 18:36

I have Brasher stretch walking trousers which I'm not ecstatic about but they are practical, lightweight, showerproof and dry in minutes. I know this because I landed on my arse in a puddle recently and they were dry in no time. I quite often wear walking leggings which are my preference.

CottonSock · 15/09/2019 18:36

Craghoppers are the best I've found with a stretch and better cut. They must come in different lengths as fit me and I'm 5 ft 1.

BikeRunSki · 15/09/2019 18:37

There was a thread about this last Christmas, I’ll try and find it.

AliciaQuays · 15/09/2019 18:42

I only do kind of 12 mile walks. Not in rain intentionally.

I’m gonna be warm dry AND sexaaaayyyy

I think my Montane ones are both tech-y / practical, and they look good. Which I realise isn't the be all and end all, but if you can have both 😄...

borntobequiet · 15/09/2019 18:43

I gave up on women’s walking trousers and now buy men’s in a small size. Far more comfortable.

AliciaQuays · 15/09/2019 18:44

I never knew hiking leggings existed.

My Brasher stretch trousers are really comfy and look great with a filler or fleece. I have them in black and grey, and they come in petite (I'm a shortie). They're true to size for me (UK 10).

StoatofDisarray · 15/09/2019 18:45

Rohan walking trousers look good :-)

Unburnished · 15/09/2019 18:49

Craghoppers slim fit - a size down
Spray with Scotchguard
Look nice and are waterproof

Idontwanttotalk · 15/09/2019 18:50

Brasher walking trousers or, if you need to walk and keep dry and warm the Peter Storm fleece-lined shell-type trousers.

Not sexy but practical.

Carpedimum · 15/09/2019 18:53

I wear Craghoppers Pro Stretch - loads of different colours available - they’re a bit roomy on the waist but fit well on the bum & my DP loves my bum in them (walks behind me uphills & works up an ‘appetite’ 😉).

ThirstyGhost · 15/09/2019 18:55

"I only do kind of 12 mile walks. Not in rain intentionally."

Honestly - I wouldn't bother buying anything new if that was what I was doing.

Unburnished · 15/09/2019 18:57

Surely those Acai trousers are going to chafe after 5 miles or do. They’re so tight they look like jodhpurs.

Sorry if this is TMI (but mentioning in case anyone else is a sufferer) do not get the Acai ones if you are prone to developing thrush. Let's just say that they are not breathable enough in some respects, and that certainly ain't sexaaaayyyy.

june2007 · 15/09/2019 19:03

I have some zip off ones, sexy, nonot really but they make very good work trousers and perfectly fine for walking. Bu good cotton trouser will do.

Elodie2019 · 15/09/2019 19:03

sexaaaayyyy

Oh my God.

MadisonMontgomery · 15/09/2019 19:07

I just wear leggings 🤷🏻‍♀️

supersop60 · 15/09/2019 19:18

Why do you need to look sexy? Is it to impress another person?
If a guy turned up to go walking with me, and was dressed to impress rather than for the activity, I'd think he was a bit of an idiot, and not taking it (therefore, me) seriously.
