To ask how to date??

I have just come out of a 10 year relationship 3 months ago. How on earth do people date nowadays?? The idea of online dating seems daunting and pretty shallow.
I’m(a young) 37 year old woman and miss the company and having a laugh with a guy.
Help a girl out!

Online dating is daunting and shallow but if you want to start dating quickly it’s the best option. Just treat it like the prep for a nice meal - boring and time consuming but you could end up with a satisfying dish. If your ex is still upset he’s unlikely to be online so I’m not sure why you would be worried? If it’s his friends then you might come up against that dating locally anyway. When I first became single I went to singles nights in another town and it was nice to have a bit of separation from my ‘real life’. The best thing to do is fill your time with hobbies/ activities you enjoy and meet new people generally (and let trusted friends know you’re looking) but much slower than the non organic route and frustrating if you’re keen to get back in the game.
