It’s quite clear. Don’t do it! Report it or ignore.

OP posts:
ZeroFuchsGiven · 15/09/2019 08:52

Ok Mum.

Monty27 · 15/09/2019 08:52

Who why where when?

AliciaQuays · 15/09/2019 08:54

It’s not my rule. It’s the deal on the site. Really clear.

OP posts:
Teenagemaw · 15/09/2019 08:54

Are you a troll then?

roseunicornblower · 15/09/2019 08:59

Ffs why make a post about it?

colourlessgreenidea · 15/09/2019 09:01

Stop telling people what to do. Report it or ignore.

26seym · 15/09/2019 09:02

😂 why on earth do you think the people who do it are going to listen to you?

icontrolthebullshitnow · 15/09/2019 09:08

I'm with you OP. I started a thread a while ago (diff username) about a subject related to female genitals. Something that astounded me that some women were unaware of. I was accused of being a man, a pervert etc. Some did report the thread, MN suspended the thread, mailed me and looked into my background then reinstated it. They acknowledged in their email to me that they did all they could to eradicate over zealous trollhunters.

CarolDanvers · 15/09/2019 09:10

Stop ordering people about. Report it and move on.

cheeseandbiscuitss · 15/09/2019 09:11

Are you a troll op?

Witchend · 15/09/2019 09:19

Wouldn't it be better to stop trolling?

I think there is a place for calling out when it's a regular troll (popular anyone?) when people are answering it.
HQ can take a long time to take a thread down, even when it's quite obvious.

I've certainly been in a situation where I have written a post about something that's quite personal and difficult to try and help someone. It's then turned out to be a known troll.
I'd have appreciated a heads up and would have put a lot less of me into it.

If no one answered the trolls, they'd soon get bored. So actually a quick "Troll, don't answer" would reduce down trolls.

Maybe another way round would be that new members have to put any thread they start through HQ before it goes up. It would make trolling just that little bit harder to do.

Icantthinkofanynewnames · 15/09/2019 09:37

Lol this post is hilarious. I don't think the MN admin need your help in reminding everyone of the rules

raviolidreaming · 15/09/2019 09:37

TAAT ( - although the thread with the husband who vomited all over an olde worlde hotel room, shat in the bath, and brought a potential boyfriend up has 'gone behind the scenes' anyway)

FiveShelties · 15/09/2019 09:42

The most interesting threads seem to be Troll threads - I am almost sorry when some of them are removed. Some are easier to spot than others especially when they concern baths, boyfriends and booze.

BenWillbondsPants · 15/09/2019 09:43

I'm puzzled as to why you felt the need to made a new thread about this. Just report and ignore.

byebyebeautiful · 15/09/2019 09:46

Stop trolling!

Samcro · 15/09/2019 09:48

yabu

SuperSara · 15/09/2019 09:50

Troll!

Oysterbabe · 15/09/2019 09:50

Interesting first post OP.

Fookinwot · 15/09/2019 09:52

You can stick that wagging finger up a troll.

feliciabirthgiver · 15/09/2019 09:52

Bloody love a troll thread - these are the ones I read out loud to DH

TheFaerieQueene · 15/09/2019 09:54

Someone is in full prefect mode this morning Grin

Bluebelldaisy · 15/09/2019 09:55

I just worry that someone who really needs advice gets put off by someone troll hunting. I would rather give sympathy to a troll then end up hounding someone who had posting and really needs advice so the point they feel they need to leave
I have seen this a few times and really worried for the poster especially when HQ comes back and says it is a long term posters but by then they have already gone

Armadillostoes · 15/09/2019 09:57

I am with you OP. Troll hunters are a pain in the bum! They are just trying to look clever, and don't give a toss whether they put vulnerable posters off seeking help or derail a thread.

colourlessgreenidea · 15/09/2019 10:11

Interesting first post OP.

No, she originally posted her admonishment on another thread, but that thread has now gone ‘behind the scenes’ so won’t come up on AS, so this looks like her only post.

Which is kind of ironic Grin
