Kathy you are old enough for Playmobil - never mind the DC - we only pretend it is for them anyway

My mother has some too and she has (and needs) no excuse

MintChocChippyMinton · 09/08/2007 22:07

Get some for yourself Kathy, for you it will be like visiting miniworld . actually get it and just confiscate all the tiny bits until they are at least 3 and a half.

must make a note to ask you how the Roman invasion goes Chippy - DH has been eyeing up Romans and trying to get DS interested!

MintChocChippyMinton · 09/08/2007 22:08

BBQ man belongs to DH, but now he has a fancy gas barbeque he has lost interest.

We were in a french supermarket yesterday, the DC were allowed to choose something, then i had to double back and buy a heap of stuff for birthdays and christmas. I was staggering under the pile of boxes and then realised the car was so full there was nowhere to hide them. I travelled home with them wrapped in beachtowels in the footwell.

Oh we have BBQ man - all Playmobil catering is down to him and Mrs Christmas with her Aga.

MintChocChippyMinton · 09/08/2007 22:12

I may glue the knots on the ropes on the pirate ship to stop it coming apart.

Mrs Christmas? Aga?

Knots on ropes. That's a good use of superglue. The speedboat towline and the anchor line on the rescue boat keep coming undone.

of your French supermarket spree. It's all so much cheaper in France!

Very sensible idea! All the playmobil we have had has ended up in lots of pieces because my DS's found it so easy to pull apart. I have lost half of the bits from the airport, so packed it all away. Wish I had thought to glue all the bits together!

Santa's holiday home???????

We will be having our first advent calender this year (it arrived too late for last year). So the mansion will have its very own xmas tree and santa and a blazing log fire and...and.. can you tell i have been stuying the box on a weekly basis?

MintChocChippyMinton · 09/08/2007 22:18

And yes, it is cheaper in France isn't it? DS2 spent his entire holiday studying the playmobil catalogue.

stealthsquiggle · 09/08/2007 22:21

I need to find another advent calendar for this year - we have had them for 3 years now - and DS randomly came out the other day with the fact that the Playmobil advent calendar was "the best thing about Christmas"

That's my boy!

Santa's Holiday House

MintChocChippyMinton · 09/08/2007 22:31

Swoon

Don't they bring out a new calendar every year?

OP posts:
stealthsquiggle · 09/08/2007 22:43

Yes I think so - but they still sell some which we have had already (the house one, and Christmas in the Park)

Actually, a quick search reveals the existence of a knights one which we definitely haven't had and which would go down a storm - I think - except that DS expects a Santa to turn up at some stage

EscapeFrom · 09/08/2007 22:47

I have one item of playmobil left -= a mousr the size of a large pea. I have had it for 2 years, despite me resolutely flinging it into the ty box with the rest of the crap.

It Just Won't Go.

MintChocChippyMinton · 09/08/2007 22:51

You need a playmobil humane mousetrap.
