Posting here for traffic.

Had a first hearing at family court today. For background, my son was abused by his dad at 2 months old. He is now one. I have shown the court/CAFCASS proof but they tell me this is historic abuse (10 months ago) and therefore has no influence on the case. He has now been given unsupervised access. Where can I go from here? Can I contact anyone else? Are social services any higher than court?

Please help, I just want to keep my son safe but nobody has listened to my concerns

That's terrible. I'd contact Social Services as its a safeguarding issue & see if you can appeal the decision with your legal person. Is he already on the At Risk register? Supervised contact with either you or a social worker should be all the contact he should get.

If you’re concerned about the safety of your child, you can refuse contact on those grounds. I would call your local social services department and log with them that you are doing this.
I am confused how this happened as CAFCASS workers are usually experienced social workers!
