Is it crazy to buy a Huawei computer?

Posting here for traffic really.

I need a new laptop and the one that comes out as fitting well with price/specs is a Huawei laptop.
Would it be crazy to buy it? Or am I likely to end up with a computer that is unsuable because lest say Microsoft is blocked and I cant use Word or Excel on it. Or go onto google.

Personally, I would have nothing Huawei.

My concerns are it will be blocked from linking into systems or that it will report back information without my consent

Not worth the risks.

I just got a new Huawei phone... Living dangerously.

I've got a Huawei phone - it's fab and so cheap. I honestly think it is as good as my much pricier Samsung was. It's such a shame about the updates thing. Much as I like my phone, I wouldn't buy it now, knowing that it might become useless in the not too distant future. So I'd steer clear of the laptop, unfortunately.

@TheQueef, no need for insult! Wink
