I’ve started watching Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes as they’re now on iPlayer. I missed them first time around. I remember someone mentioning Philip Glenister as being hot and thinking but now I totally see it!

Oh yes. I'd let Gene Hunt handcuff me any day of the week

There is definitely something very sexy about Gene Hunt - no-nonsense, direct but totally sexist and other ists, however, a good portrayal of the time period. Also, for any Peter James fans, John Simm will play Inspector Roy Grace in an upcoming tv mini series. I expected Roy Grace to be taller, slightly more muscular with a face like a young Harrison Ford. I don't doubt though that Simm will do a great job though.
