To ask for your help in finding a way of making money working from home

Please no suggestions about adding a red light to the window - I’m rubbish at sex! I have 2 primary school children but have no back up child care ( husband works away a lot) so I would love to work from home around my children but still be able to be at home if Ill etc. If you make make extra money wfh please can you give me some ideas.

I second matched betting, but look into casino offers. It’s much simpler and there’s sites like team casino that provide step by step instructions ( £10 per month fee for this) my husband and I have made £1700 since the start of June. I’ve never ever gambled it’s just not my nature but all you do is register for loads of sites and ONLY do the special offers. These offers swing the odds in your favour a little. The support site explains it all and even a total novice like me can do it.

Do you have a degree? If so, online English teaching is really getting big a there’s such a big demand for teachers in Asia (but not enough people able to up and move to Asia) so a lot of companies are doing online classes. You just need a degree and a good WiFi connection. You can choose your hours and get a base pay of about $15 per class (40 minutes) but this can be increased to like $25 based on a number of things (like if you’re willing to be a ‘stand in’ teacher I.e If you know you’re going to be home all day you can let the company know you’re free to cover any classes as a substitute teacher in case on of their other teachers is sick or something. If you do this you get an extra $7 or so on top of the $15, and can get bonuses for performance and stuff). Anyway say $15 a class minimum. There are classes every day and you can do about 4 per day. Message me if you need any more info - I’ve just started doing it myself based on the recommendation of a friend and it’s really good. Could get an extra £1000 a month without leaving the house but the only problem is you will need a degree.

Nope. You should never start with casino - there are sign up / sports offers where you are guaranteed to make a profit. They may take a little more work, and you have to be careful not to mess up, but it is much safer. Casino is gambling, pure and simple. It's like playing a slot machine with an RTP of over 100% - over time, you are going to make a profit, but there could be downward swings on the way. You should build a bank before attempting this.

Apologies as I don't know what matched betting is but is it really wise to advocate gambling or things associated with it? Particularly with all the nightmares gambling brings when it gets out of control?

I am not being goady and genuinely interested in this thread as I am looking to work from home too.

@Sparklyshoes16. I agree with you, which is why I added the comment about casino offers. Even though it has worked out okay for me, I never suggest matched betting as an option - if you look at moneysavingexpert, they also advise extreme caution with it. For every one person that makes a decent amount from it, I suspect there are another ten who fall down the rabbit hole. I certainly would never advise it to someone who was in financial need - that just sounds like a recipe for disaster!

@Sparklyshoes16 matched betting isn't gambling. Basically it is placing a bet both ways (eg a bet on Liverpool to win against Arsenal with one bookmaker and a bet that Liverpool don't win against Arsenal with another bookmaker) so you don't lose or win any money. The total money you get back from the 2 bets is the same as you put into the 2 bets.

The way you make money is by using free bet offers from bookmakers for one of the bets so you are paying in total yourself for the 2 bets less than what you win in total eg you are placings 2 bets that cost £10 in total and you will win £10, so no money made or lost. However, if you are using a free £5 bet, you only pay £5 of your own money to place £10 in bets so when you win £10, you make a £5 profit. That is a very oversimplified explanation and the numbers don't quite work like that as the odds won't be exactly the same but it gives the gist. You use maths to turn free bet offers into cash without any risk.

Another vote for match betting here. @runoutofnamechanges explains it well. It's not gambling think of it like moving lots of money back and forth and accumulating little bits of extra cash at a time. There is no risk involved. The one caveat is that if you have the type of personality that could be tempted to 'take a punt' then it's maybe not for you as you would be tempted to start gambling.

These online bookies make great offers because it is a very effective hook. For every person who makes a lot of money (and I have heard of over £30k being made in a month) someone else falls foul. The bookies know full well that people make a lot of money out of the system but as they make even more money they don’t care to stop it and they really don’t want anyone to look closely at regulating it.
Be very honest with yourself before going anywhere near matched betting - I couldn’t do it despite having a masters degree, I am just the wrong personality type!

When my dd was home on mat leave she started making bunting with baby's name on to hang across nursery wall. She made some for friends and enjoyed doing it and then she made some and put on ebay and sold. She got bundle of scrap material from market. She did not make a lot of money but as I say enjoyed doing it and when child having nap each day did it for 2 hours.

Look up a website called peopleperhour there's companies/employers and even private prople which put out freelance job offers in whatever they need doing and you can put your offer through.

Can be all sorts from translation to graphic design.

Icant I am in almost the exact position of the op. And teaching English online sounds a great option to me - do you need a qualification in teaching English (I have a degree and masters in English lit). Would it be okay to message you for further info?

Lots of WFH/flex hour positions.

I do web content writing from home. There are lots of things out there. Just steer clear of anything listed as an "amazing opportunity" as it's likely to be a pyramid scheme MLM company.
