Washing Sofa Cushions

Wow... maybe not the best idea to do it in the bath!

We got huge load of yoghurt across both cushions and spot cleaning wasn’t cutting it.

Took them off and rinsed under the shower and they turned the water a light coffe brown! Maybe it was the sofa cushion colouring or maybe it was 6 years of dirt!

AIBU to worry about the colour?

No point worrying about it. Can you take the fabric covers off and wash in the machine?

Covers came off to wipe off into the bath so drying now.

Just worried about the water colour really, I get anxiety attacks over chemicals etc.

I work hard to avoid them but little surprises like this set me off.

I gave always stuck sofa covers in the machine, even though they say specialist cleaning, so far so good. Plus smell much better than just a stem or dry clean

It’s more the hand wash and the water colour. Partner says not to worry and I followed online guides. I used cold water too!

Guess I’m just having an anxiety attack and all is well, using my strategies to deal with it as I know washing is done but not advised.

It’s been a terrible week of getting locked out the house, car issues, family issue to deal with, work stuff not going to plan and child’s first day at school today.
