Where's my thread gone?

I started a thread yesterday asking what happened to the "I'm in a bad situation" thread. It's now vanished & all I get is one of those "Oops, we've been looking everywhere" pages.
Where's my thread & what happened to the original thread?

Best to get this moved to site stuff, not that MNHQ seem to have an answer for much at the moment!

AdelaideK · 10/09/2019 20:45

Was yours a TAAT? They always get deleted.

ChinookPilotsGoVertical · 10/09/2019 20:50

@AdelaideK,
Not intentionally, I was following it in the morning and at work wasn't able to keep up.
I looked for it at tea time & no joy, so I posted asking the outcome. No intentional TAAT.

Sounds as though it was a TAAT, they will always be deleted.

ChinookPilotsGoVertical · 10/09/2019 20:54

I would have thought MN HQ would have notified me that I'd breached the rules? Perhaps they could clarify & then I'll know for next time.

They used to post a deletion message but that seems to have stopped.

Probably because so many threads are trolls and get deleted. They must not be able to keep up.

They should have let you know why they were removing your thread. It wasn't a troll thread after all.

Ginger1982 · 10/09/2019 20:58

So annoying!! I want to know why it was deleted too!

Pakora · 10/09/2019 21:03

what's TAAT? Was also wondering where the thread went ...

Oatgroat · 10/09/2019 21:04

TAAT is a thread about a thread.

SpinneyHill · 10/09/2019 21:07

Lego said she was planning on deleting it

ChinookPilotsGoVertical · 10/09/2019 21:09

The message you get is a somewhat disingenuous "Oops, we've been looking all over & can't find the damned thread" type of thing.
If it's deleted, say so, don't give the impression that the thread's still there somewhere & it's only technical issues that are stopping you finding it.

@SpinneyHill,
X post. Looks like that's the answer then. Hope she acted on the advice she was given.

“Hi all, sorry for the mass mail,

Thank you for all your reports about that thread - we're about to remove it now as the OP is concerned she may be identified.

Best wishes,
MNHQ”

^ this was the response I got to reporting the thread.

ChinookPilotsGoVertical · 10/09/2019 21:52

@silentalarm,
Thanks for the clarification.

Can't believe it took her that length of thread to realise that...
