Should I chase up interviewer?

Went for a job interview last Friday for a position I really want. I didn't ask how long until I would hear etc.
WIBU in contacting the office and asking if they've made a decision yet?

I would just drop a friendly email asking for feedback and when you will know if you have been successful.

I'd give it a week and chase on Friday if you haven't heard. You could drop a note to say thanks for their time and looking forward to hearing from them before then, if you really can't wait, but 2 working days isn't really very long if they have lots of interviews to get through and processes to follow.

No definitely not. If you don't hear within a week, you didn't get the job - but it does show how rude the interviewer is

Definitely this. Ime of interviewing and being interviewed, the tell the person they've picked, as soon as they've interviewed the last candidate.

No just wait, annoys me when people chase. They won’t forget to tell you

stopdropandroll · 10/09/2019 17:58

was your application direct or through an agency?

sonjadog · 10/09/2019 18:17

I would wait until the end of the week, or if you really want a timescale, email and ask when the decision is likely to be made. They may be interviewing other people at the start of this week or have to wait for an official hiring committee meeting before making the choice. If you have got the job, they aren't going to forget to tell you.

Last Friday as in two working days ago? No, definitely not. Give it two weeks,

Thank you. Need to work on my patience then! Perhaps that should have been one of my weaknesses Blush

I'm too used to the world of education when interview and offer/reject is often within 24hrs.

Patience...
