Has anyone had a tummy tuck/other procedure to fix excess skin on the stomach?

After 3 children In 5 years, i have loose skin on my stomach that wont shift.

I do weights, running and swimming, and am 9.4 stone and 5ft6.

I'm still in a size 12/14 due to my stomach, and it's really getting me down due to its appearance.

What have others done in this position?

Try tracey Anderson ab floor mat workout. Its only about five minutes and her exercises are all about bringing the skin back in

I thought it was AMAZING. Did it every day for two weeks and could see definition, after 6 , I literally had a six pack but a feminine version
You have to watch it a few times as she moves quickly but it really does work. I would try that first before surgery

I will definitely try that thank you!

Thanks for the tip re workouts. Did you find them on YouTube?

I'm like you op, 3 pregnancies, 2 sections. Lost a lot of Weight but the tummy is always there. In fact In many ways it's worse now because as soon as I gain a few pounds it's straight on the belly!

Canttasteanything · 09/09/2019 16:21

That's exactly me, I will.definitely try that Workout but I think surgery is the only option realistically!

Surgery costs £000s and has risks.

And it isn’t the “only option”.

Strugglingtodomybest · 09/09/2019 16:28

I've just learnt to live with it. I might look at that workout, no way would I have surgery though.

desperatesux · 09/09/2019 16:31

It is online but make sure it is the ab floor one. It is basically sit ups with your legs flat and spread apart. You need to watch it a few times first as she moves quickly and doesn't give a lot of instruction.

48 minutes in.

It will make a massive difference , although it might not solve every problem. I had HUGE babies and I now have a 24 inch waist and flat
stomach a 20 year old would be proud of.
I did her arm workout too which is amazing but gave it up. I couldn't do the leg one as I'm not co ordinated or flexible enough

Hi @thenewaveragebear1983 (waves and hugs). For those of you that don’t know her she has helped me and loads of others to shift a lot of weight! I have lost 12kg and have another 4kg to go. My diabetes and high blood pressure has reversed. She is a simply wonderful human being!

Sorry to detail OP, have you heard of coolsculpting? I have never tried it but some friends swear by it. I will explore some options once I hit my target weight and have maintained it have maintained it for a while. I have about 1/2st to go. I’m doing a lot of weight lifting at the moment and it’s completely changed my shape. I’m now fitter than I have ever been and so happy with 97% of my body, but my abs are still flabby. I will see if losing the final weight makes a difference but if not I’ll most definitely explore options.

LNDmummy Blushaw that's such a kind thing to say!

I looked at the video. All I can see is neck and lower back strain.

It would be far safer to do aqua exercises, standing ones or yoga/pilates.
