My dp used to gush all over his ex's Facebook but barely mentions me?

Yes I know I sound like a schoolgirl and I know I shouldn't have even snooped on his ex's fb....curiosity and all that. I saw loads of over the top statuses about how much he loves her, commenting on all of her photos and whatnot. Obviously this was from years ago (it somehow brought them all up because obviously he is on my fb so it's all I could see) but it still made me feel weird.

He never does anything like this with me. We tag each other in the odd funny meme and that's about it. Overall we are happy together but this has just wound me up a bit :/ I know it's social media and not real life but wondering if it means anything.

Someone give me a slap please....

It could mean that he's grown up.

Or he's got more realistic and realised, like a lot of people that FB is bollocks and most people who do that are either insecure or faking it.

How long ago was he with his ex? I used to gush about exes but I don't for my DH who is the absolute love of my life. I think it can be an age/maturity thing.

They were together about 5 years ago so it could be that he's grown up a bit since then (he was in his forties even then though!)

I get the impression she was one of those people who liked to brag and put every detail of her life on fb so maybe it was her pressuring him. Still makes for uncomfortable reading though!

I don't put personal/soppy stuff on fb either but I do occasionally upload pics and at least mention him.
