A senior in my department got a secondment as our manager.

The power very much went to his head. I came back to work after being signed off with anxiety and depression and he made my return to work extremely difficult.

To the point where at some points I had to leave my desk and go have a cry in the toilets.

He’s also clearly cheating on his girlfriend with someone in our team and I think that’s very unprofessional. They do not hide this (think constantly IMing each other, grinding on each other at work nights out, shared lifts etc)

He’s now found out that he won’t be being made permanent and after all he put me through I do feel a bit smug (obviously keeping those feelings to myself)

Thanks, he knows the job itself well but his people skills are atrocious.

Well she’s not doing well at the job - not to sound mean but she’s even told me this herself (most likely because she’s so distracted talking to him on IM all day) and there’s been zero repercussions.
