HR duty of care?

Hi all. (Posted in legal but got no reply)
I'm looking for a little insight as to what my legal standing may be in regards to a bullying issue in my place of work.
Long story short. I am the only Civilian in my naval base office (also the only female out of 10) and I unfortunately happened upon a WhatsApp group where the team were discussing me offensively (appearance and derogatory sexual comments). I was signed off work 8 weeks ago by my doctor as I couldn't face going into the office.

Since then I have had one meeting with my line manager who basically said he new nothing of civilian policies (he is forces himself) and he needed to refer to HR. Nothing further has happened. I need to go back to work tomorrow as my pay is being halved (even though this is my first instance of sick in the 2 years I have worked there) and I am still completely broken up by the men and their attitude about me.

What are my options?

I would think you should refer to HR yourself. I would also put in, separately, a formal complaint about how you've been treated so far since (I presume?) raising the issue. Are you a member of a union? If so I would make sure you've got your Union involved.
