To set myself this challenge

I have £30 to last me for 3 weeks, so £10 a week basically.

I have a tank full of petrol and food in but may need to stock up on basics. Can this be done or am I insane?

NB it's not a begging thread... Any offers will be politely declined.

I love a budgeting challenging OP! Is it just for you?

What19todo · 08/09/2019 07:42

Pretty much as there is more than enough food in for children and they also are fed during the week in any case. However milk and bread will be needed.

I think it might be possible. In addition to pps q, How much do you need to use your car. Is this exclusive of any bills that will be due in the next 3 weeks?

Lex234 · 08/09/2019 07:47

I don't know if Farmfoods still do the milk and bread offer but I used to use that a lot and freeze it (I think it used to be 2 for £1.50).

If you use a loaf of bread and 4 pints of milk a day, that would just be £16.50 of your £30 Smile

I'll probably need to put some fuel in the car at some point. I do have a credit card with about £50 on it so I can use that at a push.

Edit: no my maths is off there (sorry early sunday morning!) It would cover your milk at least, you can get a value loaf for under 50p, which would be £4.95.

eladen · 08/09/2019 08:28

Why are you doing this?

hopeishere · 08/09/2019 08:57

Presumably because they are broke @eladen Confused doubt it's just for fun.
