To think you shouldn’t have regular house parties if you live in a tiny terrace house?

I live in London in a street of terrace houses. Very residential with a mix of older people and families. Houses are pretty small and gardens are tiny too, which means that everyone is literally on top,of each other. There is one house behind me where a group of people (late 20s I would say) have very regular, extremely noisy house parties. Think lots of drunk people shouting, thumping music - all able to be heard by the nearby houses.

Quite a few neighbours have complained but they keep doing it...

No you shouldn’t but some people are selfish bastards.........

I live in this kind of street but up north. My next door neighbour does the same and I completely agree. I don’t necessarily mind the loud music so much, it’s when they’re out in the yard in the early hours, complete nightmare when it was really hot as I have a little one and was torn as to whether to have the window open, the beat of the music even loud doesn’t wake her but drunk people screeching, screaming, laughing hysterically etc does.

I get even more annoyed when they start smoking weed.

contact environmental health at local council for advice if this keeps happening and make note of times etc. there is no reason to put up with this

Yes, the screeching outside is particularly bad. When people are drunk they don’t realise how loud they are being.

Yes, I think I will involve the council. It’s just so selfish.

Depends what you mean by regular, once a month ok, once a week not so ok!
