To tell the neighbours the music is too loud?

Ok it's a one off but it's been going on since 2pm relentlessly. They're 7 doors down including round a bend so I really feel for the next door neighbours. I've looked at the council website and there's no contact for "now issues" only repeated offences. I don't know the neighbours in question. Dh says give it until 10pm and he'll go round but is that being unreasonable? FWIW we have two young kids, one of whom can't sleep for it.

Mu neighbours often play loud music but usually turn it off by 10, maybe leave it until noise pollution times? I have also been known, when in a bad mood, to stand in my garden and shout about how I cant think because it's so loud.. that usually works

It’s just a bit of a party. It’s a one off. It’s not even 11pm. Which I think is the cut off time.

If it's really a one-off then I would just stick some white noise on for the kids and then grumble to myself for a bit. If it's really that bad and goes on into the small hours then I'm sure one of the nearer neighbours will say something anyway!
