Can't get enthusiastic about holiday. Am I odd?

I have been trying to work up some enthusiasm for booking a week's holiday for me and DH. He's happy to go wherever but tbh it all feels like a big waste of time and money. We have lots of days out at weekends which I enjoy but I have decided I really don't enjoy all the faff, crowds and travelling involved in a 'sun' holiday. Anyway, I honestly enjoy sleeping in my own bed and I hate airports/aeroplanes.
One of my friends is a great traveller and constantly quizzes and nags me about why we haven't had a holiday this year. Does anyone else not enjoy holidays or is it just me (as my friends says)?

Why don’t you do a UK holiday?

If you don't enjoy it don't do it! I've just had a few days at home with DD before school starts, we've been swimming, on bike rides, eaten out most evenings and slept in our own beds. It's been amazing! And I speak as someone who LOVES to travel.

I love holidays and feel deflated if I don't have one to look forward to. I do get where you are coming from with the airport's and aeroplanes though. Maybe one with a short flight from your local airport?

I agree - have a holiday at home like I am.

Is there any place you'd love to see or thing you'd love to do? I couldn't work up much enthusiasm for a sun lounger by the hotel pool holiday. But a week in an amazing city with loads of sights to see, or a walking holiday through gorgeous scenery and I'd be jumping up and down. Maybe you need to look at different types of holiday.
