God, I thought my period had finished so I just put a party liner on today. It came back with a vengeance. I've bled right through my pants onto my tights. Luckily I was walking so I've not got any on my dress. I have spare tights in my bag, a tampon and a pad but no spare pants!
What do i do? I can't keep the pants on as I'm worried if I sit in them the blood will soak onto my dress.
Should say I'm at work and can't go and buy spare ones at the moment.
The tampon is only likely to last 2 hours.
We're ttc and my period was late this month so it could actually be a chemical pregnancy which is why it's so weird this month.

Is there anyone you are close with at work you could ask to pop out for you? Are there any shops near where you work? Due to having experienced this many times, I now have spare pants at work.

LochJessMonster · 05/09/2019 10:45

Whens your lunch break? The tampon should last til then?
Or is there anyone at work you could ask?

LoveGrowsWhere · 05/09/2019 10:45

Attach the pad upside down to the outside of pants to create barrier. Must be a machine in work toilets that dispenses tampons?

I'm a lone worker based in various different locations. There's literally no one i can ask and no one that can cover for me if I nip out.

I'm using the tampon, no pants and clean tights. Tampons give me horrendous cramp though so I'm hoping I can get to a shop soon.

TMI but I passed a really big clot so I don't think this is a normal period. It's smaller than a 50 pence piece though so I don't think I need to worry.

I know it might be easier said than done, but can you not just pop out really quickly to a local supermarket or somewhere to grab what you need?I would prioritise this and if you are questioned on it, you can advise it was an urgent health issue etc. Or do you have any friends/family that could travel to where you are to bring you done supplies?

imnotaperiodtroll · 05/09/2019 11:18

I can't pop out yet, I have customers to see. I will hopefully be able to go in an hour so should last til then.

Thanks for your replies folks, it's making me feel less crap!

We all feel your pain, OP. I really sympathise with this. Hope you will be okay til you can get to a shop.

Fold lots of toilet paper over and over so it's like a really thick pad & put inside your tights. With a skirt you won't see if it's bulky. I've had to wrap toilet paper round blood stained pants too, to stop it staining clothes. Works well if you use enough. Feel your pain, happens to me too

Wearenotyourkind · 05/09/2019 11:40

Just a further thought, whether there might be any mners nearby who could drop supplies off to your work place? Depending on your location, of course.

Say you have a migraine and go home
