Aww she shouldn’t be there, she should be at home looking after herself Sad

Sad. Poor Alison. I wouldn’t want to imagine what she’s going through.
RIP Parys.Flowers

Iamnotagoddess · 05/09/2019 10:39

I think she’s very brave going on and talking about it but it’s a bit exploitative of ITV I think Sad

I started a thread on this when the news first came out, so very heartbreaking :(

Maybe she feels the need to do something. Being alone with your thoughts can be very difficult when you are grieving.

Parys' death makes me feel incredibly angry. I cant even imagine how his mum must be feeling. Sad

Iamnotagoddess · 05/09/2019 10:43

It is absolutely heartbreaking.

My children are a similar age and my son particularly struggles with his mental health.

It’s so tragic.

She is actually talking a lot of sense.

Maybe she needs to keep busy, I do agree it is exploitative of This Morning but I expect it will get big ratings since it is a story that has touched so many people.

dollydaydream114 · 05/09/2019 10:44

I think some people find it helpful to talk about a person's death and to publicise things they feel might have contributed to it. Also, she has always done a lot of media work and so on, so appearing on television probably comes more naturally to her than it would be for most parents in her situation.

I feel incredibly sorry for her, though. I can't imagine what she's going through, poor woman.

TheJellyBabyMadeMeDoIt · 05/09/2019 10:45

She's on a different planet I think, almost robotic in that she is telling people what happened and what went wrong, but she has perhaps not yet fully released her emotions. Kind of self preservation.

My heart breaks for her.

I have a child with moderate mental health problems and CAMHS are next to useless right now. I listen to stories of child MH with a feeling of a brick in my stomach. "he's lazy, he's naughty" I've heard it all and I feel so defeated by the system.

Alison is just an amazing human being. My heart bleeds for her.

Gingerkittykat · 06/09/2019 21:39

I saw a clip and Alison looks absolutely broken.

Solihooley · 06/09/2019 21:44

I heard her talk the other day on women’s hour and was amazed at how composed she sounded. I thought she was amazing at a time of such grief to want to get out there and raise awareness of the staggeringly poor offering of help for many children and adolescents with mental health problems. She’s an incredibly brave woman, I suppose this is her way of coping and fighting for her son and the help they should have received. It’s so so tragic.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 06/09/2019 21:46

I’ve just been googling her then. I saw a photo of her holding Parys as new born.
She looks almost drunk with happiness.

MildThing · 06/09/2019 22:24

Heartbreaking.

She is an amazing artist, an amazing woman and amazing mother.

Parys was a gorgeous and engaging child on Child of our Time.

Layer upon layer of the cruelty of life.

My heart breaks for her.

Cryalot2 · 06/09/2019 22:30

Thanks Ravenblack for the link.
I am aware of her but did not see her on tv..
Her tribute was most moving.
Bullies are vile .

ragged · 06/09/2019 22:43

Noooooooooooo.
This is so incredibly sad.
She's wanted to live her life in public view since before he was born.
So I can imagine this is right way for her to cope with what happened.
