Apologies if already posted.
This breaks my heart.
Please post this little boy a birthday card and make him smile.

Extract from article -
A heartbroken mum is appealing for birthday cards for her son who told her: "I've had enough of life."
Rhys will turn 14 on September 21, but his mum Tanya Williams fears he is losing hope.

Such a sad story but a little bit of kindness may go a long way?

Rezie, I wrote a little bit about us and that he was very brave and I hoped this card would help have the strength to keep on fighting.

Otterseatpuffinsdontthey · 06/09/2019 14:25

How do I put this on my Facebook page? Confused

catzrulz · 06/09/2019 14:33

I'll definitely send one from Argyll, my DS has horrible eczema which is nothing compared to wee Rhys.

Asta19 · 06/09/2019 14:41

UPDATE:
Rhys has received over 3000 cards so far!!
And thousands of Facebook messages.
From as far away as Qatar/Australia/India/Chile, amongst other countries.

His mum says:
"He's sitting at home opening cards with his best friend and he is really, really happy.” Grin

(and there are still 14 days to go until his actual birthday, so I hope the Bolton posties are prepared...)

His beloved Liverpool FC have offered him free box tickets; Bolton Wanderers have offered him the chance to be a local match mascot...hang on in there, Rhys!

Sending one from the USA. Got some funny Scooby Doo postage stamps from the post office a few weeks ago. I’ll stick a few of those on the envelope too,

Asta19 · 07/09/2019 08:25

What a lovely update. I’m so happy this has brought a smile to his face.

I will be sending one. Poor lad :-(

ImAShowPony · 07/09/2019 09:54

I'll be sending one today. Thanks OP for bringing this to my attention- and spreading the word when there's still plenty of time to buy and post a card.

sashh · 07/09/2019 10:21

Card coming from Japan if my friend's japanese is up to finding one, it might be a post card instead, link shared with friends in Vietnam and Australia.

PhilSwagielka · 07/09/2019 11:12

Definitely YANBU. He reminds me a bit of Bradley Lowery, the little Sunderland fan who died of cancer and had loads of people sending him cards. I'm an Everton supporter and he became a sort of unofficial mascot for us as well because he was mascot at our game against Sunderland and got to meet the squad. (As the football fans on here might have guessed, my name is a reference to Phil Jagielka, one of my favourite former Everton players.)

It makes me so sad when I see kids who have to deal with something so cruel.

QueefLatifah · 07/09/2019 13:35

Thanks Everyone what a great variety in places these cards will come from!

HaveeeeYouMetTed · 07/09/2019 13:41

indianbackground · 07/09/2019 18:41

I’ll be sending one, especially now I see that he is loving opening them with his friends and reading them.
