Remember me! Still struggling although I have my big girl blouse on

Hi it’s me again, looking for support. I did post a thread recently just after the move into our new place but I can’t find it now

DP works late sometimes and last night came in, in a terrible mood. He was muttering something about my blouse, I think, didn’t quite catch what he was saying as he spluttered his red wine over the sofa again.
It’s quite a nice blouse really a bit oversized but comfy.

It’s been a tricky few days to be honest. His new best friend, the butler, has been hovering a lot and DP seems to have fallen out with some long standing friendships. I think the new BF has something to do with this. I am a bit wary of new BF to be honest. He hasn’t been very nice to the staff , a bit of a bully really.

It’s great to have MN to rant a bit. Not many women in my life right now the BF sacked most of them or got DP to do it.

Another mystery by the way, I was unpacking some of our stuff the other day. Some of it is still in boxes. He told me to stop! I asked why, surely we need this stuff unpacked as we are going to be here for ages? Anyway yesterday morning he started putting things in boxes again but last night started taking them out again in a sort of absent minded way. I have no idea what is going on, I just want my favourite mug!

What is going on and how do I cope?

I would give your new puppy a cuddle. The BF is a complete snake but I think your OH will get fed up when he realises that people are more interested in the BF than him.

blowjobsbitontheside · 05/09/2019 09:44

Oh the new dog is lovely although I don’t think DP likes him much. Trophy dog apparently. People like cats so we have Larry but other people like dogs, so Jack has arrived.

By the way, he is only DP not DH. I am the OW, not sure if I want the wife title yet.

Your previous thread is probably still in the packing crates along with your favourite cup. Unpack the crate, find the mug, make a coffee and crack on...I think. Maybe.

CandyLeBonBon · 05/09/2019 10:24

Got a link to your old thread? Your post didn't make much sense!

CandyLeBonBon · 05/09/2019 10:24

Doh! Just worked it out! Blush

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 05/09/2019 10:30

Looks like your DP won’t have much say on how long you stay at this rate. One of his old chums seems to be homeless as he was sleeping on a bench the other day, maybe he could kip on the sofa for a bit.

Nobody made you read it.

blowjobsbitontheside · 05/09/2019 10:35

Ah yes Moggy! He has outwardly high standards Im afraid. Wouldn’t dare kip on our very stained sofa. Besides he never takes his tie or suit off unless in the bedroom so he would have to sleep in his suit!

AIBU to find these fake AIBUs painfully unfunny.

YANBU...Utterly tedious

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 05/09/2019 10:42

Nobody made you read it.

It would help if it came with some sort of warning e.g. "TW - Cringe"

colourlessgreenidea · 05/09/2019 10:44

AIBU to find these fake AIBUs painfully unfunny.

Nope.

Nobody made you read it.

It is via the act of reading it that it becomes apparent that a post is a tediously unfunny spoof. Obviously it’s impossible to know that if you haven’t read it.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 05/09/2019 10:44

I see the Dementors have arrived...

Whatafackinliberty · 05/09/2019 10:45

Think I just cringed so hard I turned inside out.

colourlessgreenidea · 05/09/2019 10:47

I see the Dementors have arrived...

Never fear. Plenty of people will be spitting tea and waking babies with their uncontrollable guffaws soon enough. It’ll all balance out.

OUwhatnext · 05/09/2019 10:49

You have far far too much time on your hands.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 05/09/2019 10:50

I really struggle to understand why people see a lighthearted thread that they don’t like then find it necessary to post their disapproval- it’s all a bit Daily Mail or “disgusted of Tunbridge Wells”.

TheGlaikitRambler · 05/09/2019 10:51

When will we get requests to move this to classics? :(

colourlessgreenidea · 05/09/2019 10:56

I really struggle to understand why people see a lighthearted thread that they don’t like then find it necessary to post their disapproval

Because it’s a discussion forum (and a famously robust one at that), and therefore people are at liberty to discuss the merits or otherwise of something that another poster presents for discussion.

Colourless

You are hilarious

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 05/09/2019 11:06

OP

I think your DP and his pals have found the thread!

colourlessgreenidea · 05/09/2019 11:07

You are hilarious

Even without pretending to be a politician’s girlfriend in an ill-fitting blouse? Confused

colourlessgreenidea · 05/09/2019 11:21

I think your DP and his pals have found the thread!

Yes. I am Boris Johnson.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 05/09/2019 11:24

AIBU to be disappointed that nobody has described the thread as “an inverted pyramid of piffle” yet.
