Hiya , was advised to come here and ask the wise women of mumsnet for help as everything is in place for the business but a name . (Haven’t got the mumsnet app so found it hard to pick the right category , feel free to move it admin if you can)

I will be making and selling ocean related decorated home items , like mirrors/ lamps and other bits -using shells and driftwood.

For the life of me can’t settle in a name

If so, you don’t want anything that’s hard to spell. Unless you plan to buy up multiple urls.

There’s a line in a song “Driftwood and shells” which I love. The song is called “A thing well made” too. She’ll yeah is good but I agree, sounds cheaper than Sound of the sea etc. What about Shore at home?

Really really important points here are who is your target market, what is your retail price and where you plan to sell (e.g. online or craft fairs) as some names such as ‘shell yeah’ will be genius in some markets but will be the failure of your business in others. You really need to provide more information before anyone can give you genuine advice.

I’ll be selling online through Etsy and insta , also doing the odd market locally . To start with it will be mostly mirrors ranging from £10 to £60 depending on size, my target market is anyone really that likes this sort of thing -from cool hipster types with boho insta worthy homes to holidaymakers wanting to take something home. I’m just going to do it and see what happens -with my youngest starting school this week 😥 I will have 2 days a week to myself so have cleared the garage and got things ready to go. With my job I have a supply of shells at hand (fishing)
When I think of business names I like it when it’s just one word - related to whatever it is, and if it helps I’m imagining all words in typewriter font -random I know but 🤷‍♀️
We used to have a surf shop locally called ‘fat willies’ 😂 so I could call it anything !

@DumpTrump not massively keen on that particular name but love that trail of thought! Sea witches and goddesses
