What other completely unnecessary items should we be stockpiling? Anything in the Waitrose ‘essentials’ aisle?

How long does French Brie last for?

If I read it right - once we're out of the EU, the artificial tariffs that Europe levies on wines from outside the EU will cease to exist and many better wines will become much cheaper than Bordeaux!

Ditto 'Brie' type cheeses.

Everything else will go down the pan - but who cares with an endless supply of good cheap wine & cheese!

Amen to that Grin

Go for it, stock pile away!

I’ve got a supply of gin and chocolate so when the bad times and rationing come I’m grand Grin a life without gin and chocolate just wouldn’t be worth living imo.....

I cant eat any of the good stuff at the moment as I'm pregnant (so no soft cheese, cured meat, wine, pate Sad)

I hope, by the time the baby is born in March, those foods will be back in the shops.

I might stock up on Belgian chocolate though!

Is houmous essential?
I’m already stockpiling Kerry Gold as I can’t possibly live without it.

Am currently hoarding Chardonnay and bog roll ( understand that UK doesn’t produce enough wood pulp to produce it!) and might move on to pallets of Bounty bars too ( dark chocolate obs!)

Lubeck marzipan. Best in the world. Can't have Xmas without it.
