I have never come across this before, but someone used it in a message to me. Is it expressing more a sense of remorse/sadness or one of disappointment? I am quite confused about it!

I use it for sadness, but it depends upon the context of the rest of the message, of course.

I only use the MN emojis so I'm not sure, but it looks like a disappointed expression to me.

I'd use it as a sorry if I was saying I couldn't do something or if something hadn't gone my way. But I'm 40 and deffo not down with the kids!

I use it for sadness ‘I’m sorry, that sounds really difficult for you 😞’ but also flippantly too, such as ‘the work canteen are out of muffins 😞’. It really depends on the context.

It looks like despondence, sadness or disappointment. It’s not always easy to completely match the feeling to the emoji. What was the context of the message?

Just typed sad and disappointed and that emoji comes up as an option each time along with 2 others.

I would assume you were sad you'd killed the cockroaches!

Eh I'd say more sad there were cockroaches in the room that needed to be killed! But I could be wrong

Why would lit matter? Are you trying to determine if they're cockroach sympathisers? ;)

(Anyone who feels guilty about killing a cockroach is weird, in my opinion. Those things deserve no sympathy.)

This is one of my fav

She's unhappy that there were cockroaches in her room. I wouldn't say it's necessarily sad though, that's more of a face.
