Suggestions for Wedding Venue

Thisisnotreallymyname · 31/08/2019 16:47

Wanted:
A venue with bedrooms available, ( at least 15 bedrooms) , wedding won’t be for a couple of years yet. Probably 100 - 150 guests.
Sole use for day , so not Hotel .
Love Barns and Castles.
Preferably with a 60 mile radius of Birmingham, West Mids.
Anybody got any suggestions of one they’ve used or been to a wedding at ?

Well that's a pretty big search area!

Any budget?

I don't know any barns with accommodation nor any castles, but here are a few ideas in Warwickshire/Northants.

Fawsley Hall is gorgeous and if you have the money you can pay for exclusive use.

We also looked at Wroxall Abbey which is good for bigger weddings but thought it was a bit grotty.

A bit more barn like and rural plus exclusive and lovely, and which has enough rooms if you include the glamping pods is Wethele Manor

More affordable with great views from the terrace and which is exclusive is Ashorne Hill.

The Albright hussey or sommerford Hall are both beautiful venues!

Thank you !
It’s For my daughter, they are footing the bill .
I’m not sure of their budget , but they can afford a reasonable amount .
She just asked me to get onto Mums net to pick everyone’s brains, she’s not on here.

I think it's just within 60 miles of Birmingham but we got married at Rushton Hall and although is a hotel we got exclusive use so had the whole hotel and all rooms for the Saturday

I guess it doesn't fit the country barn look. You could try Dodford Manor near Daventry if it isn't too far (they don't have rooms at the barn but have deals with local hotels for guests etc)

The hitched website is good for venue searching

This is probably too far for you but have a look at Cooling Castle Barn in Rochester Smile it has the 15 bedrooms and is absolutely stunning!

If you put 16+ guests into AirBnB it'll bring up big venues in the area. I think there's an event tick box too. They charge differently for weddings but I found a few local venues I wasn't aware of that way.

Each local council will have a list of venues licensed for weddings.
