Ok so holiday. Toddler being grumpy as has left favourite toy in car. Still have 20 mins left on ticket. I suggest we go back to car to appease toddler and say that I will need to have a good look at map on phone to plan where we go next. Haven't been able to do this due to toddler tantrums.

So sitting in car and open map and oh tells me to 'move there is someone waiting for our space' in very impatient manner.

AIBU to be annoyed at being bossed around like this. I felt I needed a few minutes to collect myself and work out where we were.

There were cars coming and going constantly and I still had valid ticket.

Some people panic when a car pulls in behind them waiting for the space, I take out sandwiches :) :)

Don't let this get you down, just put it down to one person gets a little anxious when they see a car waiting, dh is a bit like this, I don't give a shit, I've a brother who would drive over other cars to let someone waiting in and I've a sister who will drop her seat and pretend to have a snnoze.

I was like this, until DP taught me to laugh at things like these.
What he does is brilliant, he manages to diffuse the tension with humour without being annoying or making the matter worse, by playing further into the ridiculousness of the situation.
So much nicer than having a go :)

Does it bother you this much every time someone is mildly irritable with you? Surely everyone snaps at their partner occasionally?!

People have different ideas about what constitutes rudeness, perhaps your dh felt this was one such occasion (I’m with you btw and would go slower because I’m a miserable cow). Hardly something to get in a lather about.

Sorry op you were both stressed. Different things affect different people and moods and circumstances change that as well.
I can understand you needing a few moments to what we call " Share your head"
