Secondhand smoke

After our BFN a few months ago, we decided that this time round we wouldn't tell anyone when we did our next FET.
So I am currently 2DP5DT and only my boss knows.
A few of us went to lunch today and were sitting outside in the sun and two people in our group were smoking. I didn't want to say anything as I didn't want anyone to know but eventually I had to get up and leave as I felt like I was breathing in too much.
AIBU/overcautious to worry about the secondhand smoke if we were outside or is there still a small risk?
I know that by day 2 implantation would have only just started so the effects are probably negligible, but after the previous BFN (and previous m/c) I just want to make sure everything is perfect this time.

Of course you should be worried about the smoke. Even sitting near a smoker outside can be enough to trigger an asthma attack for a sufferer. You are definitely breathing it in.

Hi, I’m so sorry but I don’t understand the acronyms you are using BFN / FET etc

dollydaydream114 · 30/08/2019 16:01

I've no idea what any of your acronyms mean but if it's pregnancy related the amount of smoke you breathed in would not have been enough to have an effect on your baby. If you were sitting there all day every day with smokers then yes, you might have cause for concern, but not for an hour at lunch, outdoors.

In general though I think it's a bit inconsiderate of people to smoke at a lunch table when they know their colleagues are non-smokers, even if they don't know you're pregnant.

I don't think it will have an effect on your implantation. It was just for a short while and your body is pretty efficient in filtering itself. Good luck this cycle!

Sorry for the confusion; BFN is big fat negative and FET is frozen embryo transfer.
And thank you for your replies xx

Absolutely no need to worry! Good luck
