Shakespeare at GCSE

Don’t get me wrong, it’s well known that Shakespeare’s work has lasted the test of time, all his plays are classics and should definitely be taught in schools.

But why are none of his historical plays taught? Richard III is brilliant as is the Henry series GrinGrin

Genuine question to teachers or anyone who’s more informed than me.

I studied a couple of the Henry plays at A level, maybe they work better at the higher level?
