to remind people to register to vote

And also to ensure their DCs register to vote if they are allowed.

Because there is probably going to be an election soon and voter turnout is going to be so so important.

Turnout amongst young people is often quite low. I hope they can see the importance of voting in this election.

(No doubt there will be people saying that voting is no good if you don't get what you voted for but that's a different debate)

To at least register your presence. Help the vote share in the country.

Who knows what a safe seat is at the moment for some MPs.

Redshoeblueshoe very good point - the point is for you to have your say. If you don’t vote, your views can’t be taken into account. However, if you do vote, your views will be taken into account. By not voting, you’re allowing your MP to still continue representing you and for your constituency to still be a safe seat. But you can stop this :)

Yes, your vote is only one vote among lots of others, but it just takes your vote - and the votes from others who don’t agree with your MP’s views - to turn the tide so that the share of votes changes and stops being in favour of your current MP.
