Positive to me! Congratulations.

SirJamesTalbotAndHisSpeculum · 28/08/2019 19:15

@gingersausage

I do have pertinent information.

The OP has said her LMP was 24/7.

Her period is therefore a week late. I wasn't diagnosing a CP. But it is certainly a possibility.

I would expect there to be a strong and obvious line in a five week pregnancy.

Ravenblack · 28/08/2019 19:15

@MrsA2015

Definitely looks like a negative pregnancy test to me. And there is nothing wrong with my computer screen, OR my eyes.

Sorry OP, but it doesn't look like you're pregnant to me. And the patronising comments from people who are saying stuff like 'I have done enough pregnancy tests to know it's positive!' (like they are the all-knowing oracle and are obviously right Hmm ) is not helping the OP. And, as @NoSauce said, it's cruel to build up the OP's hopes.

People are not bitter, and 'needing more light in their lives' if they see a negative test, nor do they need to go to specsavers. If they don't see two lines, (but only see ONE,) that is that. No need to be so condescending and catty.

IMO, there are not two lines there.

Why are the people who are seeing two lines being so spiteful and demeaning of those that are seeing one? WTF is your problem? Hmm

Better to say we don't see it and the OP does discover she is pregnant (and we were wrong,) than hoards of people crying 'yaaaayyyy you're pregnant CONGRATULATIONS!' (when there is only one line showing,) and she isn't pregnant!!!

(Like a few other posters, i never understand why these threads get put on AIBU. They pop up every week! )

lau888 · 28/08/2019 19:17

I see a faint second line on one of the tests. x

Imfinallyhappy1 · 28/08/2019 19:18

I had this with my dd very very faint lines at 5weeks

Congrats

rubyroot · 28/08/2019 19:19

I had a chemucal and line was a lot darker. A line is a line. My Dr told me I wasn't pregnant a week after my positive and then said oh there is a line and 5 weeks on I'm still fine.

Op has had a positive pregnancy, a miscarriage is always a possibility early o regardless of colour of line. Good luck op, I hope your pregnancy continues x

Apothekerry · 28/08/2019 19:20

It's been 22 years since I last did a Ptest, I don't pretend to know how dark these lines should look or not but I can see a very faint line on the last pic posted, but I am literally squinting to see it.

I hope you get the result you want, keep us updated x

Tartan333 · 28/08/2019 19:23

I definitely see a line. However I would expect a stronger line at 5 weeks, mine were very faint like this before my period was due so unless your cycle is irregular then I would be concerned in case it's a chemical pregnancy. I hope it all works out for you OP

SirJamesTalbotAndHisSpeculum · 28/08/2019 19:23

I'm a midwife and I've worked in EPU.

Going by these dates it does not look like a viable pregnancy to me.

I can see very, very faint lines.

However, if the OP ovulated very late (and her FLO app does not support this supposition) and the pregnancy implanted later than usual, then there is an extremely outside possibility that this might be an early positive result.

Taking all the information into consideration I think this is unlikely to be a viable pregnancy.

Mamimalen · 28/08/2019 19:24

My very faint line is now just over 3 years old. Went to the docs the next day and asked if they wanted me to test again before mldwife referral. He said that even the faintest line is a positive result.
Same very faint line second time around, now 7months pregnant!

thegreylady · 28/08/2019 19:25

I can see a very faint line in all the pictures but I don’t know enough about the matter. If a faint line means you are pregnant then you are pregnant.

RebeccaRae · 28/08/2019 19:25

Why are the people who are seeing two lines being so spiteful and demeaning of those that are seeing one? WTF is your problem?

You're calling people 'cruel', 'patronising' and 'catty' for truthfully saying they see two lines, so this is a bit hypocritical.

rubyroot · 28/08/2019 19:28

@MrsA2015 I see you expected positivity on the AIBU board. Never ever come on here for anything. Vast manoririty on here are complete but he's, waiting like vultures. Try and get post moved to pregnancy board

rubyroot · 28/08/2019 19:29

I had quite a faint line with my viable pregnancy and I think these look like cheapie tests, but I could be wrong. Time will tell

rubyroot · 28/08/2019 19:31

Majority!

ReturnofSaturn · 28/08/2019 19:31

I do see the second lines. But would expect them to be much darker at this point in your cycle.

SirJamesTalbotAndHisSpeculum · 28/08/2019 19:36

@rubyroot

The tests are FRERs - the most expensive on the market.

Ravenblack · 28/08/2019 19:39

@RebeccaRae

You're calling people 'cruel', 'patronising' and 'catty' for truthfully saying they see two lines, so this is a bit hypocritical!

WRONG.

I am calling people these words, for being so demeaning and spiteful towards people who see just one line. We are being called sad, and bitter, and having no light in our lives, and we need to go to specsavers!'

Don't twist my words to suit your agenda.

@rubyroot is a case in point. Saying people are waiting like vultures to be nasty towards the OP. No-one (who has seen just one line) has been nasty. People are just saying they only see one LINE FFS! It's the people seeing TWO lines who are being nasty, to the ones who only see one!

As I said, WTF is your problem?! Some of us are only seeing one line, and think the OP is not pregnant. Some people need to deal with the fact that not everyone is going to blow smoke up the OP's bum! I am not going to sit here and say 'yayyyy, 2 lines you are pregnant!' when it's not what I see or think!!!

user1471501621 · 28/08/2019 19:39

I see the line. I had a faint line 2 days late after period due which darkened as days went on. Have a 3 year old now.

Curious2468 · 28/08/2019 19:40

Just looks like evaporation lines to me but fingers crossed for you

Treem · 28/08/2019 19:41

I got a super faint line like this at about 5 weeks so went and got one of the clear blue digital tests that tell you pregnant or not pregnant. It came up pregnant and I definitely was!

MaybeitsMaybelline · 28/08/2019 19:45

I can’t see it I’m afraid. 8 days Kate when i did my first test and I’m talking years ago when tests weren’t as accurate. It was two lines both as vivid as each other.

Hope I’m wrong though, and the result is what you want x

NoSauce · 28/08/2019 19:46

@MrsA2015 I see you expected positivity on the AIBU board. Never ever come on here for anything. Vast manoririty on here are complete but he's, waiting like vultures. Try and get post moved to pregnancy board

That’s unfair. People are trying to be realistic and not get the OPs hopes up FGS.

MajorFaffington · 28/08/2019 19:49

@MrsA2015 I can see faint lines, though obviously if period is overdue you would expect them to be darker as PPs have said.

However, you said that your cycles are 31 days “on average” and also mentioned (if I understood correctly) that you have been 10 days late for your period but testing negative before?

This seems to suggest that your cycles aren’t all that regular? I have very irregular cycles and found the predictions on apps useless. I am wondering if you perhaps aren’t as many DPO as you think and that’s possibly why the line is still so faint?

Witchinaditch · 28/08/2019 19:52

It boggles my mind that people can’t see anything! A line is a line, I’m no doctor but it’s my understanding that false positives are very rare and usually only a result from assisted pregnancies like IVF. The Hcg may not be very high atm as it’s early days but over the next few days it should get stronger and stronger. Obviously pregnancy is an unknown journey and anything can happen but at the moment I would say that is a positive and enjoy it Op!
