@Lweji I only have a 10 day luteal phase. You know 14 is an average right?

Roozy123 · 29/08/2019 09:52

@kaytee87

Thank you. Ladies with some sense that not every single woman is the bloody same! X

NoDontLookAtMeImShy · 29/08/2019 09:57

No such thing as a false positive, only a false negative.

Said by someone who clearly has next to fuck all experience of pregnancy tests or TTC forums.

Please nobody believe that statement. It adds to heartbreak.

Most tests will thrown outlines at some point when you're not pregnant.

And no, I'm not referring to chemical pregnancies. Im referring to shit tests. Even the famous branded ones.

MrsA2015 · 29/08/2019 09:58

Blimey. Didn’t realise How much bickering people could do!

Not testing today as haven’t got on me thought I’d bought twin packs but didn’t Angry I did ring up midwife unit at GP yesterday and she didn’t have concerns just to retest in 24 hours. Then will make appointment for bloods. I’m trying to keep optimistic!

@MrsA2015
Stay optimistic.. As they said 're test in 24 hours where you HCG levels will be higher and will give a little clearer result for you. I hope everything turns out great for you!! Keep is posted if you can xxFlowers

Finally someone who gets that feint does not mean the same as faint. I too see faint lines. Grin

What are you laughing at here?

That someone understands there's a difference between faint and feint? Not sure what the point is of that?

IHateUncleJamie

It’s “FAINT” in this context, not “feint”. /rant

Please explain further?

I have grabbed a few examples of this, in the context of lines and their visibility

You've told me I'm wrong!? I am happy to be corrected on this, but I chose what seemed to be the most appropriate form, given the context of line visibility.

Pukka Pad A4 Punched 4 Hole Ruled Feint and Margin Refill Pad - White (80 Pages) - 1 Pack of 6 pads

Q-Connect Feint Ruled Margin Headbound Refill Pad 80 Pages, A4, Pack of 10

A4 Refill Writing Notepad, 100 Sheets, Feint Ruled with Margins^

Have I got this wrong all these years?! Confused

Smotheroffive · 29/08/2019 10:40

Good to hear update OP, and hoping you manage to get a clearer +ve tomorrow!

I also laboured under the impression that its possible to get false -ves, but not false +ves, I really dont understand how that can be.

Smotheroffive · 29/08/2019 10:42

Feint from 'feigned' as in shadow lines, etc, not like real lines. Just to explain my understanding there in case needed.

MegaMonsterMunch · 29/08/2019 10:45

Definitely positive - congrats!

GimmeeCaffeine · 29/08/2019 10:48

Those are what my first test looked like.

My DD is now five months old Grin

IHateUncleJamie · 29/08/2019 10:50

“feint” on paper pads/notebooks means fine horizontal lines (blue/extremely fine or sometimes dotted) to guide handwriting. It’s peculiar to lined paper because the only other correct use of the verb to “feint” or noun means a deceptive blow or move, or to dodge a blow with the intention to distract, followed by punching quickly.

Faint is what describes visibility or lack thereof, not just of a line but anything barely visible. So what people are seeing here is a “faint vertical line”.

GimmeeCaffeine · 29/08/2019 10:50

I’m genuinely concerned for the vision of people who can’t see the second line. It’s clear as day to me!

Sparklingbrook · 29/08/2019 11:00

DH had an eye test last week so I asked him to look. He can’t see another line. 🤷‍♀️

Smotheroffive · 29/08/2019 11:02

So you're saying feint only applies to horizontal lines? Oh!

I thought they were feint because of their lack of visibility and therefore could be considered feigned like pretend lines, suggestions of lines.

This is what happens when posters correct others it derails the thread somewhat.

PurpleViolin · 29/08/2019 11:10

I can see a tiny mark but have had it before when it has been negative and what I've seen is an evap line.

I think wait and test with first morning pee in a few days.

RainbowAlicorn · 29/08/2019 11:11

I can definitely see faint lines. My first couple of tests looked like that with my second, so much so my husband wouldn't believe I was pregnant, he is 2 now.

Bluefargo · 29/08/2019 11:27

Totally see it!

Jellycat1 · 29/08/2019 11:34

Why do people always say 'yeah you are pregnant' on these threads? It's so obvious, these are negative tests. Why build up the OP's hopes??

Er maybe because they had exactly the same (highly likely to be positive actually!) results during the early stages of their pregnancies! I certainly did. Congrats OP! Please update us!

Jellycat1 · 29/08/2019 11:39

Caveat - i would still defer to HCPs re darkness of line and DPOs etc however.

MrsA2015 · 29/08/2019 12:47

Feeling sickly today but not sure if it’s to do with nerves!
