I do see a pale second line. Id have thought a week after period due would be stronger. Each day the hormone doubles, so tomorrow should show more

rubyroot · 28/08/2019 20:23

@NoSauce love you too, hun. 😂

Roozy123 · 28/08/2019 20:30

Defo positive. Mine were exactly the same and I'm now 2 days away from being 11 weeks pregnant.
Congrats!!!! Xx

Smotheroffive · 28/08/2019 20:37

Finally someone who gets that feint does not mean the same as faint. I too see faint lines. Grin

What are you laughing at here?

Smotheroffive · 28/08/2019 20:38

That someone understands there's a difference between faint and feint? Not sure what the point is of that?

simplekindoflife · 28/08/2019 20:58

I see lines! Fingers crossed for you OP.

MrsA2015 · 28/08/2019 21:05

The responses are overwhelming!! Not getting my Hope high at all now and going to sleep with anxiety! GrinI’ve only myself to blame really lol shouldn’t have been too optimistic till I saw dark lines .

'Definitely one line only on my large, clear desktop screen.'

What do you think I'm looking at the picture on, a potato? Confused

Londonvix · 28/08/2019 21:16

Looks like a faint line to me so positive- congratulations! You don’t have to worry about evaporation lines on a pink dye test as it’s a chemical reaction to the presence of the HCG hormone so any line is a line. Mine were always like this as my HCG levels were low. Advantage is potentially less morning sickness :-). One word of caution though, whilst it’s amazing to be able to get tests that work at such low levels (ie, so early), it does leave you open to the sadness of a chemical pregnancy (a very early loss) which is very common and which you might not otherwise have known about so, speaking from personal experience, try not to get too attached for a few weeks yet. Best of luck though!

Sparklybanana · 28/08/2019 21:23

I want to do a study where the hypothesis is - people who see lines are chronic poas experts and the ones who don’t see a line have only tested when they’ve puked up a few times and have no idea about their own cycles.
As someone who literally has looked at sticks under a microscope, I can definitely see two lines very easily. You definitely have a positive pregnancy test. As for viability, the stats would say that it should be darker, but it’s not impossible to get completely negative tests and still be pregnant.
Just keep testing to see progression. First response tests get dark quickly. Good luck.

I’m not a chronic POASer but I can read a FRER, there are definitely 2 lines and they are positive tests.

JustMe81 · 28/08/2019 21:33

I can definitely see 2 lines OP. There’s lots to factor in, like when you ovulated, when implantation occurred etc. So even though your app shows you being 5 days late, if you don’t track ovulation you don’t really how late you are. Test again in the morning with first morning urine. Good luck.

LaurieMarlow · 28/08/2019 21:41

I can see a faint line but at that point in the cycle I’d expect it to be darker. I had a chemical that had a similar level of faintness at the same point.

However, I know other people who had faint lines and viable pregnancies, so who knows?

ThorsMistress · 28/08/2019 21:49

I can see a faint line on all pics OP

Stampy84 · 28/08/2019 21:50

Shamelessly following for update!!

LeithWalk · 28/08/2019 21:51

I'm sensitive to all of the hopes and dreams in these threads but can't help thinking that the advancements in testing just makes trying to conceive so stressful. Now you all test and retest so early.

In my day ( not too many years ago!) tests wouldn't be carried out so soon as they simply wouldn't work. Didn't this save some of this worry and heartache?;no testing and retesting;no awareness of chemical pregnancies. I was 9 weeks when I tested with my first and ( due to not thinking about it)18 weeks with my second.

I'm saying this with kindness because I feel for you all through this process.
I've suffered loss too. The delay in being able to test at least meant more of a chance of viability. We would be unaware of the things some of you go through.

Murphs1 · 28/08/2019 21:59

That looks like the line I had when I was a week late. It was feint, but still there. I was most definitely pregnant and went on to have a healthy baby boy, who is now 8 😁
I was so excited I must have peed on at least 10 tests in a week!!! Exciting!!! Best of luck to you x

TokyoSushi · 28/08/2019 22:00

I see it OP, good luck Flowers

theendoftheendoftheend · 28/08/2019 23:41

I can only see one very faint line whilst slightly squinting which I would treat with caution, however I freely admit I sit firmly in @Sparklybanana second group!
Fingers crossed for you

Roozy123 · 28/08/2019 23:55

I agree with you @LeithWalk
When TTC my 2nd child the first month I tested constantly!!!!! It ruled my life it consumed me.

The 2nd month i didn't test as early as I started the month prior but I got a negative and left it for a couple days and 1 week before I was due on I got a very faint positive... I then tested every single day for weeks!!!!!!

It felt SO long just to get to the point of missing my period! I wish I had just left it and found out weeks later as the extra worry is immense.

I know it's hard not to test early when all you want is a positive but it in my eyes (personally) would have made me happier now looking back. X

rubyroot · 29/08/2019 00:03

I'm not sure testing 5 days late is testing early really!

ArgumentativeAardvaark · 29/08/2019 00:05

Roozy you conceived your second child the second month of trying? That barely counts as TTC!

Isatis · 29/08/2019 00:07

I've looked at them from all angles on two different screens, and I can't see any second lines.

Violet1988 · 29/08/2019 07:31

Positive definitely congratulations x

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 29/08/2019 08:37

How unnecessary! I personally am on cycle 9 of TTC but I accept that everyone’s personal journeys are stressful for them. There’s no point tearing each other down because some conceive quicker.
