Just that really.... can’t be bothered to cook. Shouldnt really, but can I justify it that it’s pouring down and miserable and only a few days left of the holidays?? Grin

Go for it! We're going out for similar reasons. Actually, there wasn't even as much thought put in to it, I've just text dh to tell him we're going because I can't be arsed cooking after taking the DC to hairdressers!

MrsMozartMkII · 28/08/2019 15:35

Go for it.

I'm at the what's-the-easiest point (scampi and oven chips - I might stretch to peas, then again that requires A Pan...).

Enjoy Grin

IHaveBrilloHair · 28/08/2019 15:38

Do it.

Coralfish · 28/08/2019 15:40

That's why frozen broccoli and cauliflower are your friends. You can just chuck them in the oven with the rest of it and they come out nicer than steamed anyway (IMO).

OP, YANBU. I would be if we could stretch to it, but payday isn't until tomorrow!

The answer to 'Shall we go out for tea?' is (assuming it can be afforded) always yes as far as I'm concerned.

Impromptu meals out when you can't be arsed to cook and need cheering up always turn out to the best meals out, I think.

Missingstreetlife · 28/08/2019 15:59

Yes

ElizaDee · 28/08/2019 16:04

Go to Nandos

Mightymaniac1 · 28/08/2019 16:16

Oh how funny- Nando’s is the plan in my mind!!!

We had takeaway with friends, too hot to cook, kids were playing nice & both husbands going away for work in the near future..... i would!!

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 28/08/2019 16:36

Do it! DH is away for work and 5yo is at a sleepover so it's just me and the baby tonight. I hate cooking for one and I'm so tired, I'm debating ordering myself a takeaway even though it's a complete waste of money.

ElizaDee · 28/08/2019 18:02

Then it must be done @Mightymaniac1 Grin

VladmirsPoutine · 28/08/2019 18:07

Why not!? I sometimes used to get this sort of guilt about eating out when there is perfectly good food at home - residual perhaps from my upbringing in which you'd only go out for an occasion and not just coz you fancied it. But get out! Enjoy!

MrsMozartMkII · 28/08/2019 18:46

Coralfish Thank you kindly. I've squirreled that bit of useful info away.

Jebuschristchocolatebar · 28/08/2019 19:14

Just got a take away. Last night of school Holiday here so treating us to pizza and wine. Wine is only for school age children and not toddler.

Rachelover40 · 28/08/2019 19:17

I second Nandos.
I had a delivery tonight, pasta and spicy chicken.
