Is it acceptable when no one is in a 5m radius?

I actually had no idea people did that, we all get out and trudge about looking for toilets when we need to pee. Going to avoid the busy spots now, haha!

Chalfontstgiles · 25/08/2019 23:47

Treading water and pissing is quite tricky....you have to tackle it in bursts. Standing in shallows with hands on hips and chatting whilst peeing and not having a distracted expression also requires skills.

Yes - unless you have a 6m penis.

Graymare · 25/08/2019 23:49

Been going on forever. Well diluted too, crack on. (I can't myself due to severe inhibition 😣).

Aprillygirl · 26/08/2019 00:07

Urine is basically made out of the same components as sea water so you can can piss away guilt free to your hearts content OP.

kateandme · 26/08/2019 00:12

it used to be a must.it eases the freezing coldness!as soon as you get in have urself a wee.instant freeze releaf.

NeverTwerkNaked · 26/08/2019 00:16

Totally fine. Unless you follow my daughter's example and wee standing up in ankle deep water in front of bus loads of elderly ladies enjoying their ice creams.

TheInebriati · 26/08/2019 00:30

How do you think the sea became salty?

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 26/08/2019 00:34

Is it acceptable to wee in the sea? Well, every little helps, Wink

Shakennotshook · 26/08/2019 00:40

Wht do you think boats do with someone uses the loo? Its politite not to use it whne in the marina, but at sea all bets are off.

TumblingTumbleWeeds · 26/08/2019 00:47

Red white and blue
the dirty kangaroo
he went behind a lamp post and did a number two
he wrapped it up in paper and threw it in the sea
and all the little fishes had it for their tea.

EileenAlanna · 26/08/2019 00:49

The Sea, generally, is big enough to accommodate even several people weeing, simultaneously. Etiquette requires that people simply ignore sea weeing even as a concept, as it would be impossible to obtain an accurate wee reading given the comparative size of the ocean.

Bravelurker · 26/08/2019 03:08

I find people, that don't do this quite scary, and a massive PITA.

Trebla · 26/08/2019 03:43

Crack on. It cuts out the middle man.

PhilCornwall1 · 26/08/2019 04:27

I've just had one and flushed. It's going to be down the beach near me now as we speak.

I don't want to think about where what I did an hour ago is, that certainly gave the sewage system something to work with!

Iamafanoffans · 26/08/2019 05:22

A few years ago I went on holiday to Mongolia, stayed with nomad families for 3 days in their gers (like yurts) in the middle of nowhere. There was no plumbed in water, so no flushing toilet.

I got very used to doing my business in the open air. Very liberating, although rather chilly as it was winter there, and a rather nippy -30 degrees at night...

LiveInAHidingPlace · 26/08/2019 05:37

I can't help peeing in the sea. As soon as I get in, I get the urge to go.

666onmyhead · 26/08/2019 05:42

Ewwwww I don't think I'll be paddling again if you lot are busy peeing in the sea . Yuck !

recrudescence · 26/08/2019 06:20

Colour chemicals in pools is a myth. Fish up your urethra is very near a myth - the fish is candiru and exactly one has ever been removed from someone's tubes. Also they're in the Amazon, not the sea.

Spoilsport.

Of course this does seem to be a common thing to do, but why would anyone want to? Why do you want to swim in your own and other's excretions?

areyoutheredenise · 26/08/2019 08:20

I hate the sea.....I never go on it as I have a morbid fear of fish swimming up my bits. My H always says it's impossible so I'm going to show him this thread haha

Wish ds would. Whenever we go on holiday, he goes in the sea, then instantly needs a wee. So we have get out, tiptoe across burny hot sand, dry his feet cos sand and flipflops rub, traipse to the loos, queue to have a wee then traipse all the way back.

He is also in denial that cool surfers wee in their wetsuits. We do watersports a couple of times a week in a huuuuggggeeeee lake full of ducks, fish and geese. Does his kayaking, then the kids have free time which means they basically swim in the lake for 45 minutes. Always wants a wee as soon as he hits the water (think its the water) then have to drag him out, peel a full length wetsuit down to his knees, then prise him back in it. He's 5, hoping he learns pretty soon. Probably when he is responsible for taking himself to the loo.

Candymay · 26/08/2019 08:42

Yes I’ll be doing this today! One of the highlights of a day at the beach.
